  • a very funny episode!...

    "Perfect"
This is one of my most favorite EEnE eps ever! Eddy decides to be a rebel & not follow the rules. Then, he convinces the other kids to not follow the rules either.
So, it results in everybody doing whatever they want, like Jonny running around without clothes on(lol), Sarah & Jimmy eating a mountain of ice cream, & Rolf laying around being lazy.
Then, everything backfires when Double D calls their parents & all the kids freak out. At the end, Ed, Edd, & Eddy wind up in a bird cage hanging from a tree. it was funny when double d had the panty hose on his head LOL

  • No rules rule!

    9.5
    "Superb"
When Eddy told the kids that there are no rules and they can do whatever they want, like eat dessert before dinner and eat with our hands and talk with our mouths open and staying up late and go to bed without brushing your teeth, later all the kids did a lot of stuff that made me laugh mostly when Jonny is running outside NAKED! And Rolf's being lazy, Sarah and Jimmy made an ice cream mountain(which that is totally cool) and Kevin destroying the dishes until Double D called all their parents and all the kids begin to panic and then they locked the Eds into a birdcage. Not a bad episode most funniest part was Jonny running around naked that made me laugh.moreless
  • Poor Double D!

    9.7
    "Superb"
I think that Double D meant well as he tried
To stop getting the kids in trouble but the kids
Felt after he called their parents, that they were going to
Really get it and tie up the Eds in a cage.
Funny and bittersweet show. Though poor Double D was just trying to prevent trouble!
  • No Rules? That's My Vision Of The Real World! Besides Whack Everyone With Water Balloons. It Is Soooooo Silly I Want To Throw Garbage At Adults!

I Think Disobeying The Rules Is Fun. Burning Down The Sign Might Be Funnier. I Saw Cement On Eddy's Feet. RemindS You Of "Cement Shoes" From Super Smash Bros Melee, Right? The Silliest Things I Think Is Switching The Books, Putting A Fish In A Book, Tearing Up Tags, Taking It Easy, Breaking Dishes, Belching Without Saying Excuse Me, Going Naked (Which I Don't Think Is All That Funny.) And Eating An Ice Cream Mountain. Remember, Rules Are 4 Losers. Do You Think Any Of My Words Are Helping You Out? If You Don't, Who Am I To Change Your Mind?moreless
  • i really loved this episode. i will explain in the review why i put character development.

    9.0
    "Superb"
hi. this is my review of a very good episode. The reason i put character development is because from the start of the show, nobody but double d himdelf knoe=w what was under his hat. they tied hi to the light and that all change. there is a rumer going around that he has a mohawk. though alot of people also think that under his hat is his brain. maby that's why they were so amazed.
    eddy: jeese louese
    ed: cool

based on there reactions, one can only wonder,'what was under double d's hat!' ever since i first started to like the show (about a month ago) i was wondering what was under it. i watch this show every single day. ed-vice used to come on. when it did, to start the whole brain rumer, someone wrote "why do you wear a had?" double d said "to keep my brain warm"

  • TRIVIA (3)

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Why did they lock up Ed and Eddy when it was Edd who told there parents?

    • Why wouldn't Edd have just taken the time to untie his hat from his bedroom light instead of walking outside with a pair of pantyhose on his head? What's more, the fifth season reveals that Edd has more than one hat; why not just get one of them?

    • After Ed assaults Kevin, Kevin threatens to retaliate with a five knuckle sandwich (or something like that); however, this is one of those cartoons where the characters only have four fingers...

  • QUOTES (21)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Eddy: Look, I step on the grass, and nothing happens.

    • Kevin: (glaring at the Eds) Hold it, Rolf! Give me a hand here. Rolf: Yes! The closet can wait. Jonny: (joining them) I've got goose bumps! Eddy: Um, See Double D just broke a rule, like us guys. Edd: No, I didn't... Eddy: He's delusional. And the pantyhose is on too tight; his brain is squished. Kevin: I think it's time for a little order. Rolf: Ya, ya. (The kids advance on the Eds...)

    • Eddy: I can't believe you told on us. Edd: I apologize. I'm not sure what came over me. The flagrant disregard for rules must have caused me to go temporarily insane.

    • Nazz: No rules rule.

    • Edd: Attention please! Your attention please! Ed: Why is Double-D wearing pantyhose on his head? Edd: I have good news for us all, I have taken the liberty of phoning all of your parents! Kids: What!? Nazz: Oh, man! Jonny: You didn't! Kevin: You're bluffing! Edd: No, really they are on there way home right now, no thank yous are necessary. Eddy: He flipped! Ed: Am I in trouble now?

    • (Sarah & Jimmy playing leap frog) Sarah: Leap frog! (leaps over Jimmy) Jimmy: Your so nimble, Sarah. My turn. (satellite hits Jimmy and carries him away) Of all the darn luck! SPACE JUNK ATTACK!! Darn my perfectly manicured nails. (begins to lose grip and falls and screams as he hurdles toward the ground)

    • Eddy: You kids still listen to mommy and daddy? Too bad. I guess you won't joining us for an after-dinner swim.

    • Eddy: See? You live by the rules. Just like Double-D! Double-D: But rules are a joy to uphold! Kevin: Dork Alert! Rules are for losers!

    • Jonny: Can me and Plank go to bed without brushing our teeth? Eddy: Let 'em rot, Jonny Boy!

    • Kevin: You're just trying to get us in trouble, aren't ya? Eddy: Help! Help! Kevin's beating me up! (Kevin drops Eddy to the ground) Eddy: Is the fuzz on it's way? I think not.

    • Ed: I am dead from the neck up.

    • Jonny: (Running naked with Plank) Feel the wind Plank!

    • Rolf: Why do you hinder Rolf's drudgery 3-haired Ed-boy? If my chores are not complete, I will be banished to the...(gulp) cupboard!

    • Ed: I'm smarter than a sign! (picks up the layer of grass then crawls under it)

    • Eddy: Let's have some dessert before dinner and eat it with our hands... (eat a gob of cake) And talk with your mouth full! Ed: Eddy's the man!

    • Edd: That's it! I'm gonna give you such a thrashing! (His hat pops off) Eddy: Geez Louise. Ed: Cool. Edd: If you say one word to anyone, I'll never speak to you again!

    • Ed (banging his head against the ground): I'm a woodpecker! (bangs his head some more) Except with dirt...

    • Edd: You've broken me, Eddy. Set me free and I'll join you and destroying everything that separate us from the primates. Eddy: Now we're makin' progress. Ed: (carrying the ant farm) Yum! Like cheese? Edd: No Ed, progress not (sees Ed with the ant farm) PROCESS!!! Put them down Ed. You leave my ants alone! (Ed then dropped the ant farm and Edd strangled Ed with his legs) Edd: (gasps) Five thousand, two hundred and thirty nine ants Ed! PICK THEM UP!! PICK THEM UP!!!!!! Eddy: Slow down, Double D! Ed: (talking while being strangled) I'm sorry!

    • (while in the cage) Eddy: (holds out sign) Help! Edd: (holds out sign) Please assist! Ed: (holds out sign) Ketchup!

    • Kevin: Double Dork! You broke the number one rule! Don't squeal! Rolf: Wilfred is a very quiet pig, Kevin!

    • Eddy: Hey Rolfy! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! Rolf: Who is this Jack? I know no Jack!

  • NOTES (9)

    ADD NOTES
    • In this episode it is revealed that Edd has added 402 more ants in his ant cage since The Ed-Touchables.

    • Edd was the only one that didn't brake the rules

    • Running Gag: Ed and Eddy stepping on Edd's shirt with their "filthy shoes".

    • At the end of this episode, you can just about hear Jonny say "Listen to the clams gurgle in the bucket, Plank". This quote was originally used in the 'Who, What, Where, Ed' episode.

    • This is what the kids do when they're going with eddy on the "no rules" thing: Nazz: Drinking root beer, burping loudly & playing in the wet cement. Rolf: Being a lazy so and so. Kevin: Destroying vases by flinging them and using a sling shot & playing in the wet cement. Jimmy & Sarah: Eating a mountain of ice cream & playing in the wet cement. Jonny: Running around naked & playing in the wet cement. Eddy: Mess about in Double D's room, removing the tag on Edd's bed & playing in the wet cement. Ed: Help Eddy mess up Double D's room, unleashing Edd's ants & playing in the wet cement.

    • When it showed everyone except the Eds and Rolf playing in the cement, you can see Kevin make a cement ball and hit Jimmy with it.

    • This is the tenth time everyone wants to be in the Ed's scam.

    • This episode can be seen on GBA Video Cartoon Network Collection Vol. 1.

    • This is the first time edd's hat comes off but we don't see the top of his head.

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Eddy: ...Joy of Rules. This is a play-on to the cook book Joy of Cooking.

    • n/a: title
The title "Stop, Look, and Ed" is a reference to the phrase "Stop, Look, and Listen".

    • Eddy: Hey Rolf, All work and no play make Jack a dull boy
Isnt that saying from Stephen King's The Shining?

    • Eddy: "Hey! That's MY waffle!" "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."
Obviously Eddy's "waffle" comment is a reference to Eggo waffles, and Eddy's "dull boy" comment is a reference to an Edgar Allen Poe story where a homicidal madman kept writing on a piece of paper "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."
