Jeff calls Ed, "Mr. Ed".
The Solids are a real band. Lead singer Carter Bays and drummer Craig Thomas are writers on the staff of Dave's "Late Show".
$10 Bet: Ed bets Mike can't speak in a British accent to a girl from high school, Hillary Sanders, who is at the Smiling Goat.
Jeff (discussing with Carol the way dinner went): And the worst thing of all, the memory that's gonna haunt me till the day I die is that I called you "hun"!
Jeff: You must be the famous Mr. Ed.
Phil (handing Big Rudy over to Ed): Ed, this is the man responsible for sabotage against one Stuckeybowl Bowling Center. You sir have been served up like a trout on a silver platter.
Mike (as he and Ed hide in the bushes, waiting for Bonnie): I'm not so sure about the superhero costume... I mean, the suit of armor, that made sense to me... a knight in shining armor, that's romantic. But this? Not so much.
Shirley: That's Kenny. He stood motionless for five hours... Kenny's so talented.
Carol (asking Ed why he's letting Bonnie go without a fight): You're Ed. Aren't you the guy who puts on the suit of armor and makes the video of himself and hires sky writers?
Phil (to Carol): Whoa! You look great. Did you sneak off somewhere and get some work done?
Molly (discussing dating strategy with Carol): I prefer to play this coy, like a lioness majestically perched on the open grass plains of the serengheti.
Ed (commenting on Carol's date, Jeff Alexander): I think Carol may be dating a grifter. Not a particularly talented grifter, but a grifter nonetheless.
Carol (when Jeff Alexander comes to Nancy's): Mr. Calculus Teacher Man is in the hay-ouse!
Kenny: Some of the world's most powerful art has been born out of heartache.
Ed (to Bonnie): You think I can't lift you? You feel a little unwieldy?
Ed: In the criminal justice system, Bonnie Hane's day is divided into two separate yet equally important parts: prosecuting offenders and having lunch.
Big Rudy: Ed Stevens, my esteemed successor as captain of this creeky old schooner we call Stuckeybowl!
