The son supposedly attends the University of Wisconsin with one year left to complete dental school. Except the University of Wisconsin doesn't have a dental program. Marquette University which is in Milwaukee is the only dental school in Wisconsin.

Len Cariou, who played the title role in the original 1979 Broadway production Sweeney Todd (the musical about the serial killing barber), guest stars as the general who works in a barber shop. One of his lines in this episode is "If I didn't cut somebody's ear off, I'd talk it off."

Phil's Scheme: Phil attempts to get a huge fireworks show for Stuckeybowl's anniversary. A source of his says that he can get an entire show for only $50. After getting nowhere with his source's info, Phil goes to the internet black market and gets all of the materials he needs.
