$10 Bet: Mike offers Mitch $10 to stick his head in the punch bowl. When Mitch refuses, Mike sticks his own head in, but Mitch refuses to pay.

Carol and Ed go into the Hello Deli. They meet Rupert, a popular, regular guest on the Late Show.

While Mike is taking Sarah trick-or-treating at Ed's, Ed bets Mike to wear Sarah's pirate hat and hook and go to the neighbor's to trick-or-treat.

When Richard Vessey is cutting the pizza in the end, the slices are already separated before he begins to cut.

Phil's Scheme: Phil plans the funeral of William Fish. He was a bowler who died on lane 6. Since his family cannot be found, Phil decides to give Fish a proper farewell.

Phil's Scheme: Eli gets Phil to help him get Jenny-fair out of Stuckeybowl. Phil pretends that he is an aid to the mayor. Jenny-fair falls for it and leaves. Eli is now able to mass produce the pies.

Phil's Scheme: Phil becomes Warren's first guest of his talk show's pilot episode.

Phil also tries to convince Ed and Mike to hire him as a jockey for their new horse.

Phil's Scheme: In Benny's documentary, Phil tries to pass himself of as a VIP. He solves matters of national security and poses a man about town. His cover is blown when he rescues Shirley's kite from a tree. . .and gets stuck in the tree. The fire department has to come and get him down.

Phil's Scheme: Phil interviews people to take Frankie's place in the law office. He hires a woman based on her good looks, even though she has no legal experience.

$10 Bet: Mike bets Ed to call the judge in his case "Sally". Phil calls his first law office candidate "Super Frankie".

The son supposedly attends the University of Wisconsin with one year left to complete dental school. Except the University of Wisconsin doesn't have a dental program. Marquette University which is in Milwaukee is the only dental school in Wisconsin.

Len Cariou, who played the title role in the original 1979 Broadway production Sweeney Todd (the musical about the serial killing barber), guest stars as the general who works in a barber shop. One of his lines in this episode is "If I didn't cut somebody's ear off, I'd talk it off."

Phil's Scheme: Phil attempts to get a huge fireworks show for Stuckeybowl's anniversary. A source of his says that he can get an entire show for only $50. After getting nowhere with his source's info, Phil goes to the internet black market and gets all of the materials he needs.
