  • Dancing in and out of step.

A lot of things can happen at a dance some things good and some things bad, this episode had a little of both. I'll talk about the good first.

I really liked that interplay between both Kat and Gill. At first it's not very smooth, Gill has good intentions but their not enough when you have the wrong approach. Gill we see is kinda in hot water as he too busy trying to be something he's not to impress Kat. Kat as we see isn't impressed and says she wants the real person, and that's a good moto; be you all you just be yourself like her I don't go for bullcrap I'm interested in who the person is. And of course Gill catches on in a moment that I thought was sweet when he plays an accordian tune for her and reveals that he's an accordian player, this wins her heart. Another is on Grace Park's character and Stevey who's relationship goes another level. Chris and Jen get a little closer as well.

Craig discovers he has feelings for Anika and wants to test them. Though unfortunately for Erin this fact when she discovers the two of them at the dance just fuels the fire that Anika started earlier which was a rumor about her. This then leads to my favorate/funnest moment in the episode when Erin screams in rage and charges like a mad bull towards Anika and then tackles her hard. I'll admit it was also kinda sureal because it was something I didn't think was going to happen but it did.

But now comes the bad news, this episode marks the long break both will suffer though a while. Both Mark and Laurel get hurt. From the information he discovered in that videotape and Laurel discovering Mark doesn't trust her enough. I've seen the two fight before but they were able to resolve it at the end; this time it's not in sight. I'll admit I was sad I hated seeing the two in this state; we know both are innocent. We know the one that was guilty and the real betrayer was Laurel's so called film school friend, I never really trusted him he seemed a bit full of himself thinking just because he's so knoweldgeable about this and that he can have anything he wants. But as a Rolling Stones song goes

"You can't always get what you want." his decetful acts don't pay off as Laurel discovers his sin. I loved it when she kicked him to the curb, it just showed not just the strength of her character but how true her feelings to Mark are.

I like how the play Orthelo (my favorate Shakesperian play) act as an ironic parallel to their now doomed relationship. The lesson in that story was to always trust the one you love for they will never wrong you. Mark in the end unfortunately doesn't heed that lesson and it comes to an ending that left me sad.moreless
