Marshall and Simon investigate an old mill rumored to be haunted. It proves to be a hoax, set up by a mysterious young man who doesn't want anybody nosing around... or so it seems until they accidentally uncover a rusted gun, containing the ghost of Grungy Bill--Eerie's worst bank robber.

Dash X: This kind of stuff happen to you a lot?
Simon: At least once a week.
Simon: Sometimes I wish we collected stamps for fun instead of battling the forces of weirdness.
Marshall: (During his opening monologue) It seems like every town has a haunted house and a creepy story that goes with it. Kids all dare each other to go inside, but nobody ever does, because a friend-of-a-friend knows a guy that went in - and never came out. Every town has one, but here in Eerie, Simon and I have counted over *50* haunted structures. Today we were checking out number 51.
The show moves back to its original timeslot, 7pm on Sundays.
Jason Marsden joins the cast in this episode. His character's name, Dash X, was unknown for a few episodes.
Alfred Hitchcock: The name of the mill in this episode is The Hitchcock Mill.
This was probably done as an homage to Alfred Hitchcock, one of the true masters of Horror.
