  • Worst episode of the show. Hope it hasn't come to this.

    1.0
This was the worst episode of the show so far. It was simply rediculous. The timing of back up assistance of canine units and travel time from one location to another was completely implausible. Not to mention the antecdote scene where everyone is going nuts at the fashion show and the chic with the clip board walks over as though it's another NORMAL show. Just very bizarre and disappointing for a show that has been quite intellectually stimulating until this episode. The characters & story lines are becoming less interesting almost as though the writers have run out of original & scientifically plausible ideas. What's next aliens?moreless
  • Nice episode about perfume.

    8.5
Eleventh Hour gives us another quality episode, not quite as good as Subway but not too bad. The Mad Scientist thing has been done many times before, of course, but here it was done quite well, even if it was not particularly ground breaking. There were some nice moments with Hood and Felix, in fact these were some of the best moments in the episode, but I would have liked there to be a bit more interaction between Hood and Rachel which seemed to be largely missing in this episode. There were moments when I felt Hood and team had been transported to Mode magazine, particularly when they were talking to Ugly Betty alike, Gretchen. So, not the greatest but not bad either.moreless
  • You'll think twice the next time you wear perfume

    8.5
It wasn't that great, but it wasn't that bad. I thought the whole plot was somewhat slow. We had this full of action episode last week and I guess all of us expected the same. The storyline was interesting. Another experiment gone wrong, innocent people acting against their will.

There were no Hood/Rachel moments that I like so much, but their chemistry was intact. Hood asking Rachel where she puts her perfume on was cute. The Gretchen character bothered me a little bit. There was too much of her. And I don't think her character had a lot to do with the plot or the ending. It was nice to see Felix again. He's finding his place in the team.

So Rachel knows for a fact that chemistry exists. Did she mean that because of her experience with Hood or someone else?moreless
  • Scent for Murder.

    7.0
I found this script really interesting and a little bit twisted. The idea that a perfume scent or in the case a chemical in the perfume could cause someone to snap and even kill was a stretch for me. But, how it was played out gave it some merit. I never gave a thought to not knowing what was in my perfumes. I also found it that a simple chemical smell could snap everyone back to normal. I found the "ugly betty" type assistant was little copy catish. Overall the "case" was a little hard to swallow but was written well enough to keep my interest.moreless

    • Felix: I don't know about you, Doc. I think I'm going to give up on the cologne for a while.
Hood: Is that what you call that stuff you wear?
Felix: Hey! My momma gives me that every birthday.

    • Hood: He's using pheromones.
Felix: Pheromones. That's what gives people the hots for each other, right?

    • Hood: I'll run another test for contaminants while we break down the rest of the perfume's ingredients.
Felix: How many more we got?
      Hood: Er ... 650 something.
Felix: I should write these smaller.

    • Hood: People live for this stuff, right? Bright lights, red carpets. Can't imagine they'd want to die for it.

    • (Hood and Felix are looking at a slide)
      Felix: So what is this?
Hood: This is something I found in the perfume at the hotel room, real perfume.
Felix: All right, bring on the fancy science Doc. I can handle it.
      Hood: It's a neurotransmitter molecule.
      Felix: A little less fancy.

    • Rachel: Who knows? Maybe that'll do the trick.
Gretchen: I don't know. I'm starting to think there's no such thing as chemistry.
Rachel: Well, I know for a fact, there is.
