Elfen Lied

Are any four non-recurring characters in animanga more deeply hated than these four kids? Who is worse? Tomoo or the (possible) traitor girl? This is where young Kaede is lost and Lucy is crafted from the blood and thunder four unthinking little fools called forward. Thanks loads for potentially dooming the world as we know it, kids! Though one of the lessons of Elfen Lied is that these kids and even the Kakuzawas are also monsters crafted by our own failings. Lucy demonstrates time and again that the problem with the Diclonius is not that they are so different from us, but that they are us, merely granted the ability to strike back against all the snide words and cruelties.



An unforgettable--if sad--episode.

After having been hinted at since the very beginning of the series, the back story for Lucy and her involvement with Kohta are brought to the table. The next episode looks promising.



The contents of this episode showcase how terrible the human race can be. They're motivated only by personal gain, destroying others' hopes and dreams simply so that they can feel superior. I enjoyed this accurate representation of how sadistic we can be. Nana's discussion with Mayu seemed to be pointless, though there was one thing that will likely affect the outcome of the next 5-6 episodes, if one counts the OVA.

this episode was so sad!!! so so sad! that poor scientist!!! she was almost killed cuz that boss guy is freaking crazy!! then nana getting yelled at poor her she doesnt understand and now mayu knows, i bet she will handle it well. and oh my gosh poor lucy!!!!! no wonder she is pyhco!! thoes boys deserved to die!!!! cuz one they picked on poor lucy and then they killed her poor dog!!! what a** holes do that?!?!? monsters! thats who! and im glad that girl died too! i trusted her not to tell!! ugh! im glad they are all dead!!! but lucy seems to still be mad at nana, i hope she gets over that, and at the end she ran into kouta when he was young, oh boy i am so nervous about what will happen!
