  • A dessert episode that is sadly mostly icing and whipped cream...

There is nothing wrong with this episode, but there is really nothing right about it. I think a lot more of it should have been dedicated to Lucy and Aiko (her friend's name, taken from the manga) and less to events and conflicts with Nana that were really settled rather quickly in the original manga. The slapstick is funny, and Nana's attempts to find something to help with sweet and in-character, but just how Lucy forged a friendship, let alone one so strong she was willing to surrender rather than fight, would have been a lot better. It kind of resolves Nana's original promise to bring Lucy to Bando, but Bando in the anime is so one-dimensional even Mayu kind of gives up on him. I won't denounce another half-hour of EL, and this one does show a day both typical and atypical at the Kaede-Sou (Maple House). But to me it feels more afterthought than not.moreless

A great episode I must agree. Although, the first five to ten minuites kind of drove me nuts with all the gore. not that I hate gore, its just it was way too much in one scene. But, after that it was fine. Nyu was way too cute when she was pulling on clothing and when she peed on the floor. I felt so bad when Nyu got yelled at for breaking the shell. Kouta should have understoond why she did it. I understood he was upset about it but still he should have understood. Poor Nyu was so scaredmoreless
  • Just a little more nudging and the stage will be set.

I watched this episode after episode 11, which seemed to be one episode late. It should have been watched between 10 and 11 rather than 11 and 12. Moving on.

This episode put entirely difference emphasis on the events that happen in episode 11. Kurama isn't out to stop 35, he's after Lucy again. That's just slightly different motivation AND we figure out for sure that Mariko is he daughter Diclonius. If those aren't revelations, I don't know what are for this series.

Overall, it was a basic episode, normally executed, nothing fancy to boost the information presented. It should have been included in the TV series, though, as it contains extremely important facts. 9/10 overall.moreless

  • this was a episode never aired

    9.5
well i have to say it wasnt as good as all the rest and it was made after the last episode in the series and it goes back to when nana first joined the house. it was just alittle to happy feeling for me, not that i dont like happy but it just didnt fit in with the way the series was feeling. but it was nice to see it. nana got scary when she was trying to beat out nyu. and finnally we see why lucy wouldnt attack karama. and i have to say i was alittle disapointed, i thought she only had kouta be nice to her as a kid but aparently there was another little girl, which it was sad she died. but i didnt like how lucy blamed karama for it, but he had made a pretty solid promise, so i guess it does make scense... i still feel bad for karama though.moreless
