Spoilers of course…
I was expecting the last episode ("Flight Path") to take a different path than they did. Eli saw a vision of Diane and the plane crash together (volume discounts on visions?) Diane told him to find another way to get the parents to give her the heart instead of convincing them that their daughter was an atheist. I thought the solution was obvious: for him to use his visions to convince Diane to believe. That way, his visions-which he believes are messages from God-would be used to save Diane's life and make the parents happy too.
Of course, they ended up going in a different direction with that whole Grace thing. I suspect that they suddenly veered because they had to edit the episode to be a series finale and may have originally intended to go in the other direction.
