This is clearly a thread for people who like the show, so if you don't... please exit now. Thank you.

I just randomly saw episdoe four one day and fell instantly in love with the show. I saught out the rpevious episodes and am now up to date. The pilot was brilliant!!

I think I was hungry for a "feel good show" and this fills the bill exactly. After watching dark shows like Dexter, it's nice to see something light-hearted, fun, and full of hope.

I like the show because it is so true to life-- my life, that is-- only slightly funnier.

It's quirky and reminds me of a David Kelly show.

Likeable actors/actresses, mostly. Also well-written, well-acted (geez, what else is there?)

the characters are all likeable, especially johnny lee miller's eli. the premise is also like nothing i've ever seen before, since i never used to be into legal shows. emphasis on "i've never seen before", not necessarily not done before (because i've read other threads that compare ES to other legal shows in the past)

It's the idea that everything is connected that appeals to me. Eli is learning, just like many of us are, that we have the answers at our disposal if we can figure out how to access those answers. There is no one way for all people to connect with the spiritual world where all is known, but Eli's method makes for some really good comedy. And that Eli is so sincere really appeals to me. In fact, all the characters seem sincere. Even the questionable characters--Posner and Dowd (interesting names)--aren't completely unlikeable. It's the acknowledgement that people are complicated and can't really be pigeonholed that makes this show so fresh.

In addition to what others have said:

You can't go wrong with Victor Garber in wacky musical numbers. For that matter, you can't go wrong with Victor Garber, period.

Oh, and repeat the above sentiment, replacing "Victor Garber" with "Loretta Devine."

Quirky is such a great adjective. It's light, yet thoughtful. Easy to watch. It will make you cry and also re-think your own standards and morals. Great show!

I am willing to honestly admit to the tv.com community that I watched this show the first time becuz I LOVE George Michaels. There I said it. lol. but this show does bring a lil something to the table that other shows nowadays just dont. I like the clash of diff personalities on the show. The fact that all the characters are totally diff makes the setting for a show that is simply hilarious. And innovated. I'd like to see some more creative shows come out of ABC. Recently they hit a road block. and Eli Stone is just the show to plow the way!
