  • Excellent season finale

I think this is why this series is as good as it is.......It is great how amazing the cases that Eli gets are, also it is great the funny part of this series, with Chen and Eli.....it was great seeig Eli waking up, also, is great that he realices what his job is. Lets hope that next seaon he could be the same after being without the aneurism, and lets hope that he continues to solve problems as he did with the aneurism, I think we will know if he really can see or predict the future without the aneurism. And lets hope he coud start a relationship with his friend at work.
  • The day of Eli's surgery has arrived.

OMG, what a great season finale! I really missed the musical sequences and this one... WOW, this one was very, very special. The way the scenes of Eli's visions and reality combine was brilliant and the cast is impecable. Eli's realization of his state was the climax of the episode and Jonny and James Saito were excellent in it. The rabi's husband storyline was also great and I think it was pivotal to Eli's perception of his own divine. I really hope season two brings the same amount of emotion, excitement and musical sequences with George Michael! I can't wait for it to premiere!
  • What a great episode!

This show is really something. At first we learn about a lawyer that suddenly picks up a conscience and starts helping people instead of big corporations. All of this is triggered because of a George Michael vision singing in his living room, and a lot of other visions that always meant something bigger.

This episode wraps up the first successful season of this story in such a perfect way that it makes you feel good about it. In this episode we learn that Eli has had the surgery to remove his aneurysm and everything went wrong. But he was able to 'live' through the coma and eventually generate a catalyst that brought him back to the exterior life.

The conversation between Chen and Eli near the end was really good, and the musical number at the end was just marvelous. Overall it was a very well written episode, with touching and funny moments that make this show something to wait for every week. I just hope we get to see more of it next season.
  • Wow, this series does not cease to amaze me!

This series is by far one of the most well-written works of art on television today. Not only do they tie in all the aspects of great Oscar-winning movies, but they give the viewer the sense of involvement great television shows should give people. To that end, I hear that this is the season finale of Eli Stone and I desperately plea that ABC renew this series and bring it back for another season at the very least. To prove the point for renewal, did anyone not see how remarkable this episode was written? I mean, its great since it totally gets the audience thinking in the beginning, "wow, is he really going to go through this surgery?" But alas, it is revealed that he has already went through it but is in a trial during his coma. This is remarkable!!!! The song selection of the episode, the well written plot of the episode by the writers, and just the amazing acting done by the cast, I must say is proof enough that this show must go on, in order to save the embodiment of the television and how people can appreciate great works of art now a days!

In the words of Eli Stone, we must "live brave!"
  • OMG - can this series get any better? What a totally awesome episode - and George Michael singing Feeling Good - what a spectacular ending!

I loved this series from the moment it started - but this episode was SO dramatic, emotional, even breathtaking that the finale rose to such a crescendo of passion that you just did not want it to end!

The theme running through the episode was so tragic, but brought home decisions people have to make every day, sad decisions that loved ones do not always understand and the writers handled it beautifully, so sympathetically - I can't believe there was a dry eye in the house!!! Every actor performed their role perfectly - you could feel their pain - from the Rabbi to Eli's brother - everyone brought that episode home with flying colours.

I love it that the cast is so talented - Loretta Devine singing with George Michael - totally surreal - perfect indeed!! And singing my favourite song - even better than Michael Buble and John Barrowman - if that is possible!!??

And don't you just want to take Jonny Lee Miller home and nurse him back to health??? He is so cute, fragile and vulnerable -- plays the part very convincingly! I certainly would have given him CPR !!!
  • Eli has brain surgery and it does not go as hoped. May contain spoilers.

Everwood. Jack and Bobby. Brothers and Sisters. Now Eli Stone. I will now watch anything Greg Berlanti has a hand in. He's one of the people behind this brilliant show about a lawyer who has visions. This season finale was good. Very good in fact, but also very confusing. The whole style of the episode was done in a slightly different way that we have seen before for Eli Stone and it worked. For the most part. We have Eli stuck in limbo after the worst has happened, and his brain surgery went horribly wrong. While in limbo, Eli is working on a case involving a man who is fighting his rabbi wife to let him die in the way he wants to. Very heartbreaking and the soft spoken actor who played the dying man was awesome as well as his wife. Here's where I'm a little confused. Eli, I'm guessing never tried this case, but heard bits and pieces from being the the hospital bed next to the man? Eventually, Eli comes to the realization that he is in fact in limbo with the help of Chen. It was great seeing someone else get a vision and Chen going to Nate for help. Nate is stuck with the painful choice on if he should follow Eli's instructions and "pull the plug". But here's where I'm also confused. What plug is there to pull? From what I saw, Eli was on oxygen and nothing else. Not even a feeing tube or ventilator. So how/why does Nate have to end Eli? By smothering him to death? Also why the 48 hour time limit when Eli wakes up moments later presumably? Also where is the mother? I'm assuming Pamela Reed was detained while doing the (sob) series finale of Jericho, but having the mother not there took away some realism from the story. Lastly, the aneurysm being gone is great, if Eli Stone was a real person. But story wise having it there added to the drama. Here's this lawyer doing great things even though he could die at any second. Now with it gone, will he go back to his old ways? Will he still see visions? Will anyone believe him without the aneurysm there to blame it on? I'm nitpicking I guess and all those questions above are why I can't wait for season two. Eli Stone better be picked up for another season because this show is a gem and deserves to continue. Great season finale!
  • Absolutely perfect season finale.

Well, the time has come. I know we have all been dreading it but it had to happen sometime. Yes, I mean the first season of Eli Stone has come to an end. Oh yeah, and Eli finally had surgery to remove that pesky aneurysm.

The episode began with Eli on the operating table having his surgery. Something goes wrong and Eli flat lines. But wait, as Eli flat lines the scene changes and he's actually dreaming...or is he. We soon learn that Eli has had the surgery, something did go wrong and his worst fear has been realized. He says to Maggie, he's not afraid to live or die, it's the something in between that scares him. And poor Eli is somewhere in between. Dr. Chen then has a dream about Eli and realizes he's in limbo. He meet with Nathan and we see the terrible burden Nathan is carrying around with him and how much he loves Eli.

There is also the side story of David Green. His cancer has returned for a third time and he has decided not to undergo chemo. His wife, a rabbi, wants him declared incompetant so she can force him to have chemo. She is not ready for him to die and doesn't want to accept his choice. On the other hand, David, who had never been religious, believes God has spoken to him and has given his permission to let go. It was an intense story that made cry.

Finally, all of the people who are important to Eli gather around. Eli is forced to decide, is he to let go or does he have more to do? It is only appropriate that George Michael is there at the end when Eli makes his decision. And best of all, the season ends on the right note - a musical number! I know some people do not like the musical visions but I think they're pure genius and this last one was a perfect ending. If this show is not picked up I will be completely devastated!!!
