Eli Stone

Trivia: Frank's legal birth name is Frank Lebakowski.

Eli has signed a DNR order in his living will. However, except for the surgery scene, he is not connected to a respiratory device in which the DNR rule applies. He only has a small tube of running oxygen which does not interfere in his own breathing activity.

Eli tells his colleagues that the 22nd floor is probably not the safest place to be during an earthquake. However, the exterior shot of Wethersby, Posner & Klein shows a building only ten stories tall (seven in the east wing).

Trivia: This is the first episode that did not contain a musical sequence as part of Eli's visions.

In the scene where Eli was arguing with Nathan, the line that goes "If this is your idea of helping me", British-born Jonny Lee Miller clearly says "if this is your 'i-dee-yer' of helping me." Despite the fact Eli is American.

It seems odd, given the subject, that the prosecuting attorney would not have at least questioned George Michael about the 1998 incident where he was arrested for soliciting a police officer for sex in a men's room in Beverly Hills. It would have definitely made a case for the principal.

Episode Title George Michael performs this song on his Faith album and on the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop 2. It was released in 1987.

It is revealed in this episode that Patti's last name is Dellacroix. Patti is Eli's executive secretary.

During the first earthquake vision while Eli is shaving, he gets some shaving cream on his shirt, but when he gets out to the hallway the shaving cream is gone.

In the first fighting scene, the soldier has a large patch with a red outline of an Islamic dome and within a red A with the number five under it. It is the insignia of the 5th Army that fought in North Africa and Italy. There were US, Commonwealth and other Allied troops in the 5th Army. It would usually only be worn by rear area and headquarter troops directly under the 5th Army, and not by soldiers on the front line. They would have a divisional shoulder patch or sometimes the insignia was painted on the helmet. Often, soldiers removed the patches for security purposes when on the line. The plane flying overhead was a P-51D. The aluminum finish means that it was mid 1944 or later and would be in Italy.

Eli's father's ashes were (appropriately) in a can of "Chock Full O'Nuts" coffee.
