I loved this show and am thrilled to find it on I am still, after all these years, trying to learn why it was cancelled. It wasn't because Jim passed away because that didn't happen until years later.
I have long since determined that the network's call letters stand for the Never Been Clever network because of all the cancellations of truly entertaining shows, and the cancellation of this delightful series as far back as 1977 merely proves my point.
They have cancelled enough of my favorite shows that I am down to only 4 that I now watch. When those are gone, I will be,also. It has taken me a long time to reach this conclusion, but I am really tired of trusting that they will leave new scripted shows on the air for more than one I really do NOT like "reality" shows at all.
