    • TRIVIA (4)

      • Johnny says this is his first time to work a brush fire.

      • Goof: Chet says: Five months training as a paramedic, and all he can say is hold it up under the faucet." In The Wentworth-Townsend Act, it was established that they had 3 months (90 days) of training.

      • The injured fireman makes a reference to Mike Stoker's wife. Mike doesn't wear a wedding ring...could be a blooper, or as engineer, a ring might be considered a hazard. The injured fireman also starts singing The Walbash Cannonball after the morphine takes hold.

      • Goof: How does Roy get a blood pressure of 75 over 45 when examining the woman with dehydration? Does his gauge read odd numbers?

Goof: When the squad and engine are responding, the squad gets switched. It is an older squad in place of the newer one.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Brackett to Roy: Get out of here, hose jockey.

      • Dixie: Listen, you're going back up to the fire aren't you?

        Roy: Where else?

Dixie: Well you wouldn't mind looking for Andy's dog would you?

Roy: A dog? In that area?

Dixie: Andy's going to have his arm set now, and he's pretty worried.

Johnny: Yeah, well, we'll keep an open for him. What kind of a dog is it, Andy.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Many scenes of this episode were shot on the Universal Studios backlot, as was much of the series run of Emergency!. Notably, the house where the old sisters live is the popular studio tour attraction known as the "Psycho House" from the original movie of the same name. The neighborhood threatened by the fire in the final act is also on Universal Studios property and appears in a number of other episodes of Emergency!, Quincy, ME and Universal motion pictures.
