  • The guys help a deputy sheriff nab a hospital thief, an old man starts a fire and has heart trouble, and they help a suspect pinned on an oil rig.

This episode was funny and exciting at the same time. We get to see Sharon Gless as a young female deputy sheriff, nabbing suspects undercover. a prelude to cagney and lacey perhaps? Johnny of course has his typical crush on her, but gets turned down. I like how they incorporated the pacemaker in the episode, and we get to see the legendary Paul Fix in the role of Pop Williams. Boot the Fire Department mascot sh ows back up and Johnny just can\'t figure out why he likes Chet but not him. It\'s an ironic twist since everyone usually loves Johnny.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • BLOOPER: The ambulance that picks up the mugger in the park is a suburban style. It is still a suburban style when it backs in at Rampart, but as the squad backs in next to it, suddenly it changes to a box style.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Roy:(Talking about Johnny's date with Shela) The way I figure it she can't separate pleasure from duty.
Johnny: Will you let me do it. Now the trouble with her is that she can't separate pleasure from duty.
Roy: I like my version better.

    • Roy: The two of you practicing yoga or something?

Johnny: I'm just trying to figure out why this dog doesn't like me.

Roy: You know I've always told you, you were too sensitive. What makes you think that the dog doesn't like you?

Johnny: I can tell. And I'm not either too sensitive. I mean I could care less whether this dog likes me or not, I just wanna know why.

      Roy: Nothing but curiosity.

Johnny: That's right. I mean, this dog has a right to feel anything he wants. But what gets me is how he can like Kelly and not me. After all, I was-

Roy: Well, you know, uh, he may have a point.

    • Pop Williams: "What? Where am I? What's going on anyway?"
      DeSoto: "Easy Mr. uh..."
Donna Williams: "Williams. His name is Gus Williams"
DeSoto: "Mr. Williams. Everything's gonna be ok. We're gonna do a little check on your heart right now, so you just lie back and relax and we'll do all the work, ok?"
