This was an excellent episode. One of the cases it focuses on is that of an abused child. This was a skillful handling of child abuse. It wasn't "preachy" like today's TV dramas are. It also brought up Parents' Anonymos as a resource for parents. It dealt with the issue of abuse in a very straight forward manner.

As to the lady who screams for therapy...there is really such a thing. I googled it. It was more than likely just an extra little add in for Special Guest Star Jo Anne Worley. Her scene did little to add to the show. Any other rescue could have just as well taken Johnny and Roy away from the station during their televised interview. The interview was interesting in that Johnny had trouble with stage fright setting the audience up for the interview after the final rescue.

The doughnut shop rescue had the overbearing mother for comic relief. The "big" rescue at the end of show was a good one. We once again see John freeze up as a camera crew tries to interview him after the rescue.moreless
