Octavius is bitten by a poisonous snake but he is saved by Camane. Marc Antony's soldiers arrive intent on assassinating Octavius. Camane intercedes, allowing the Emperor to escape and possibly later to claim his throne.
  • Rome and Caesar makes good television, ABC tries to explain how Caesars Great Nephew came to be emperor after the last dictators death. The Story focuses on Octavius struggles alongside a Gladiator sworn to protect him on the road to the Throne of Almightmoreless

Television lacks a lot of history these days and ABC almost brings back the glory days of great historical tales.
The musical scores are not so good but the story is delivered at extraordinary pace but it is also obvious at the holes in the plot.

Altogether it is a good story for those who like historical movies and this should no doubt rival Rome a ten part series by BBC and HBO due out next fall.moreless
