EDIT
Drop-Out
AIRED:
In the season opener, 20 new teens have met in Baja, Mexico to play "Endurance": a game that will test their strength, mind, and will.
The contestants are:
Phil, 14 - Denver, CO
Michelle, 14 - Linden, NJ
Shep, 14 - Wayzata, MN
Calley, 15 - Elberton, GA
Maryelle, 14 - Winter Park, FL
Glen, 14 - Austin, TX
Sarah, 14 - Breckenridge, CO
Scooter, 14 - Orlando, FL
David, 14 - Orlando, FL
Annie, 15 - Bethesda, MD
Jeff, 15 - Sanger, CA
Christa, 13 - Austin, TX
Jacquelynn, 13 - Silver Springs, MD
Tyler, 14 - Jacksonville, FL
Abbey, 14 - Humble, TX
Mike, 15 - Shelton, CT
Wayne, 15 - Bloomfield, NJ
Keetin, 14 - Fairfax, VA
Trey, 14 - Sebring, FL
Simone, 15 - Antioch, CA
The contestants, looking worried and a little excited about the upcoming events, ride donkeys to their new homes. During the ride, Calley explains to the cameras that she is scared because she doesn't know anyone. Some contestants are slightly more confident. Scooter explains that he is in it to win it, while Simone admits that people look at her as a 'girly-girl' and she wants to prove that she can hold her own in challenges.
During the ride to their new homes, some contestants take time to up the competition. Trey believes that Phil and Mike look like good competition, but believes David whines too much and will be easy to beat.
The contestants soon arrive at their new home, and are welcomed by J.D. Roth. J.D. explains the rules of the game, and warns the teams that this season will be filled with plenty of twists, one of which was used in season 1: six teens (3 boys, 3 girls) will be leaving the first night.
As J.D. shows the teens to their huts on the beach, the contestants take time to become acquainted. Annie tells the camera that so far, with all the other girls, her time in the game has been just like summer camp. Some teens have already turned their minds to the upcoming competition. For instance, Christa worries that one wrong move in that afternoon's challenge could send her home.
Once the teens get settled in, they begin sharing about their lives outside of the game. Trey immediately takes the role of the comedian, and many find him funny. However, Scooter tells the audience that he wants to see Trey go because Trey talks too much.
Later that afternoon, the teens meet J.D. down at the beach, where their first competition awaits. In the challenge, "Drop Out", the contestants will stand on planks above the water. A bar hangs above each plank, which the teens must hold on to. If they pull on the bar, the plank below them will fall. Unless they can keep their hold on the bar, they will fall into the water, eliminating them from "Endurance".
The boys take their turn in the challenge first. Within minutes, the boys look uncomfortable with their arms in the air, and many seem to be tiring: especially Wayne and David.
Suddenly, David's plank falls beneath him, and he falls into the water. Seconds later, Scooter's plank falls - Fortunately for Scooter, he is able to hold onto the bar, and stays out of the water. After 6 minutes, Scooter is still holding onto his bar, and many of the other boys look like they are having problems, even though they still have their planks. Soon, both Glen and Trey pull too hard on their bars, dropping the planks below them, and throwing them into the water.
It's official: David, Glen, and Trey are going home.
Although upset to see three of their new friends go, the girls are ready to take part in the competition. After a few minutes on the planks, with their arms in the air, not one girl looks to even be in pain.
However, Sarah's plank falls from below her. She, like Scooter, is able to hold on. Unfortunately, not for long. Sarah falls into the water and becomes the first girl eliminated from "Enduarnce 2". Minutes later, both Simone and Abbey join Sarah in the water.
The 6 teens eliminated from the game are upset, but no one has left without new friends.
Back on the beach, the 14 official "Endurance 2" players have dried off and are ready to start the game.moreless
