Knotted Up
AIRED:
As the episode opens, Sabrina, of the yellow team, explains that everyone is nervous about the upcoming temple mission. Chelsea, of the orange team, tells the cameras that her team is a target to be sent up to the Temple of Fate, but she isn't worried because she believes they'll do really well in the Temple Mission.
Max, of the grey team, has a similar confidence and says that he isn't a target to be sent to the Temple anyway.

Later, the teams meet J.D. Roth on the beach, where they get their first look at that day's challenge. The challenge, called "knotted up" will force teammates to work together as they are connected by the waist with a giant rope that has a large knot in the center. The first team to untangle the knot in their rope wins the mission.

The teammates get into position, and as J.D. signals the beginning of the challenge, all teams rush toward the knot in their rope. The Red team (Christian and Ashley) and the Blue team (Jonna and Aaron) take an early lead, and are neck to neck. However, with their concentration and teamwork, the Blue team are able to take the lead, and are the first to untangle their knot. J.D. explains that because the Blue team won, they are guaranteed another few days in the game, and will be choosing two teams to send to the Temple of Fate, where one team will be eliminated from the game.

After the competition, Trevor, of the Green team, tells the cameras that his team lost because Lana was telling him what to do when she didn't know what she was doing. In the confessional, the Red team's Ashley says that Aaron and Jonna are now the biggest threats because they've won two challenges in a row.
The Blue team seems to be having their own concerns, however, and Jonna tells the cameras that everyone has been acting differently towards her now that she has power, and Aaron tells the Red team's Christian that he has power but doesn't know how to use it.
Brandon, of the Purple team, has his own ideas of who might be sent to the Temple. He tells the cameras that everyone is becoming annoyed by Trevor and so the Green team may be sent to the Temple.
In the hut, the Purple team's Layla asks Trevor if he is even worried that he may be sent home. Trevor calmly answers that he isn't worried and doesn't care because he's already had his fun on the beach.
In the confessional, Trevor's partner, Lana voices her frustration with him, and later confronts him about what he said to Layla. Trevor denies ever saying he didn't care if he was sent to Temple, and Lana tells him that she wants to win so he needs to take the game more seriously.
On the beach, Lana tells the other girls she thinks the Red team is in trouble, because Aaron isn't going to send Trevor, his friend, to the Temple. A worried Ashley asks Sabrina to convince Aaron not to send the Red team to temple.
Later that day, Jonna and Aaron still can't reach a conclusion on who to send to Temple, and which teams will be going is still anyone's guess.
Back at the huts, J.D. meets the teams, and asks Jonna and Aaron to announce who they'll be sending to Temple. Aaron announces that the Blue team is sending the Grey and Green teams to the temple. With that, J.D. tells the Grey and Green teams to pack their bags and say their goodbyes, as it may be their last day on "Endurance".
The teens gather again to talk about the Temple, and Max tells Aaron he isn't mad and says everything is cool between them. However, Lana is crying in her hut, and seeks comfort from the other girls. Sabrina asks Trevor why Aaron sent the Green team since Aaron and Trevor are friends, and Trevor can't seen to come up with a reason. Lana is also confused as to why she is going to temple, and tells Jonna that she doesn't understand the Blue team's reasoning. Jonna tells all the girls that Aaron took too much power, and she didn't agree with the Temple choices.

That night, as the Grey team and Green team arrive at the Temple, they see what they will be facing for the first time. J.D. introduces them to the temple game, a rock-paper-scissors like challenge in which each team must outsmart their opponent. The first team to get two points will return to camp while the other team will be eliminated from the game.
In the first round, the Green team beats the Grey team, and take a 1-0 lead. In the second round, the Green team once again beat the Grey team, sending them packing.
After the two teams say their goodbyes, they head their seperate ways, and when the Green team returns to camp, the other teams realize that the Grey team wasn't strong enough to get rid of the Green team at the Temple.moreless
