On the Ropes
AIRED:

It's morning, the day of the Temple mission, and the teams are gearing up to prove who deserves to stay in the game. Some teams, especially the Blue team, feel they could go home if they don't win this mission. Although his team has the Samadhi, which will handicap them in the challenge, Scooter vows that his team, Blue, will win the mission and send the Brown and Yellow teams to the Temple of Fate. Later that day, the teams meet J.D. on the beach, to learn they will be playing an a mission called "On the Ropes". In the mission, one member from each team takes the end of their rope and strings it through a series of hoops. The compeititor that strings their rope through the last hoop will win the mission for their team. The catch? The player with the rope will be blindfolded, and their partner will scream directions from the starting position.

The teams take their positions, and the mission begins. The blindfolded team members take off, ropes in hand. Many of the contestants have a hard time figuring out their surroundings, except for Max, who seems to be having an easy time with the challenge. Because theyu recieved the Samadhi, the Blue team starts the mission ten seconds after everyone else. It doesn't seem to matter, however, because Scooter opvertakes the other teams and meets Max at the second to last hoop. Tied for the lead, Max and Scooter fight to thread their rope through one of the last hoops. Max tries to focus on just finding the hoop, while Scooter tries a different, more physical, method: pushing Max away from the hoop. However, Max gets his rope through the hoop, and is off toward the finsih line. Soon after, Max and Scooter are searching for the last hoop. After a minute of feeling for the hoop, Max finds it (with his head). The Brown team wins the Temple mission, to the dissapointment of the Blue team. Back at the huts, the contestants tell the cameras their take on the competition. Michelle, of the Orange team, says she was amazed Tyler listened to her during the challenge. On the other hand, Tyler tells the cameras Michelle had nothing to do with the mission, since he couldn't hear her after the first hoop. Other contestants seem more concerned about who won the challenge. Scooter tells the cameras he is 99% sure he will be sent to the Temple of Fate. Also, Keetin is relieved her team, Green, won't be making any enemies by sending teams to the Temple of Fate, and also is sure she won't be going to the Temple, since the Green, Yellow, and Brown teams have a strong alliance.

In the huts, Jenna, of the Brown team, asks her alliance partners, Keetin, and Calley, of the Yellow team, who they would send to the Temple of Fate. Keetin immediately says she would send the Purple and Blue teams. Calley agrees, saying that Purple and Blue are threats to the Yellow, Brown, and Green alliance, and by sending them to the Temple, one of the threats would be eliminated.

Later that afternoon, Max and Jenna meet on the beach to discuss who to send to the Temple. Jenna tells Max she heard from Mike that the Purple team has said they would send the Brown team to the Temple. When it is setteled that the Purple team must leave the island, the Brown team readies to decide which team should visit the Temple with Annie and Jeff. J.D. meets the remaining teams later near the huts, and asks Jenna and Max to reveal their decision of who to send to Temple. The Brown team reveals they will be sending the Purple Team (Annie and Jeff), and the Blue Team (Christa and Scooter). At that news, Calley cheers, happy to hear her enemy, Annie, may possibly leave the game. Calley later tells the cameras that Annie and Jeff should have known they were not included in the Yellow/Brown/Green alliance, and that they were not wanted in that alliance. Later, Calley confronts Annie in front of the other contestants. Calley demands to know why Annie hates her, and claims that Annie hated her from Day one. Only getting smirks and snickers from her competitors, Calley gets fed up, and flees from the confrontation. That night, the Purple and Blue teams leave the beach for the Temple of Fate. On the way to the Temple, Annie tells the cameras that if the Purple team returns, they vow to get the Yellow team out of the game. At the Temple, the teams are introduced to what may be their last game on "Endurance". In round one of the "rock, paper, scissors" game, the Blue team chooses the Wood element, beating out the Purple team's choice of Water. In the second round, however, the Purple team beats the Blue team. In the tie-breaking round, Purple beats out Blue, eliminating the Blue team from the game. Annie and Jeff cannot hide their excitement, while an upset Christa and Scooter ready to leave the game. Before Scooter leaves, he tells Jeff to finish what the Blue team has started.

When the Purple team returns to camp, the teams welcome them with open arms, except Calley, who breaks down at the sight of her only enemy on the beach returning to the game.moreless
