AIRED:
This episode opens with the kids playing on the beach, looking like they are having fun and are carefree. However, based on the kids' confessionals, that is not the case. Max, of the grey team, tells the cameras that things on the island sometimes get pretty slow. His partner, Jenna, says that she is noticing a lot of "playful flirting" between some of the other competitors. According to the kids, Chelsea has a thing for Max, and there is definitely something going on between Sabrina and Aaron.

The kids have been teamed up with their partners for a few days now, and Jonna says that everyone is happy with their partner. However, Lana, from the green team, says that although her partner, Trevor, is strong, she isn't sure they'll make a great team.

Trevor watches his competitors and makes many observations. It is obvious that Sabrina, from the yellow team, and Ashley, from the red team, are friends. At the same time, some people think that the grey team, as well as the yellow and red teams are threats. According to Skyler, from the orange team, the red and yellow team think they are the strongest, and he says it will be important to seperate them. Layla, from the purple team, agrees with Skyler, and tells the cameras that the red and yellow teams think they are better than everyone else.

The kids meet on the beach for the Endurance mission, which is based on the partnership used to climb and overcome struggles on Mount Everest. The challenge is called "tilt". Each boy will be strapped onto a stand which is perpindicular to the large platform. The girl stands facing the boy on the platform, but is not held in by the stand. The platform slowly begins to tip backward, and each girl slowly falls off the platform, with the boy holding her, feet above the water. The last team still on the platform wins the last two endurance triangles, AND the samadhi, which will give them the chance to give another team a disadvantage during the temple mission. All teams take their place on the platform, and the challenge begins.

Minutes after the challenge begins, the girls are hanging on to their partners above the water. JD (the host) observes that Lana looks like she is going. Instead, Jenna falls into the ocean first, cutting the grey team from the competition. Soon after, Lana falls, followed by Chelsea, from the orange team. This cuts both the orange and green teams from the competition. Layla falls next, followed by Ashley. The blue team and the yellow team are still going strong. From the beach, the kids watch, as Sabrina is the next to fall into the water, giving the blue team the win.

After returning to their huts, the kids talk about how the competition went. Chelsea said she "had mind, but no matter" and Lana said she "knew she wasn't gonna win because her partner is small and she was bigger than him."

At the same time, Jonna and her partner, Aaron, talk about their win. The topic of who they will give the Samadhi to comes up. Jonna tells Aaron they should give the Samadhi to the orange or green team ... maybe even the purple team. Jonna wants to give the Samadhi to the yellow team, because she believes if they win the temple competition, they will send her and Aaron to the temple.

That evening, the kids meet on the beach, where Jonna and Aaron receive the final two triangles because of their win in the endurance mission. JD asks the kids a number of questions about how the last few days on the island have been, and whether there have been any alliances formed. Trevor tells JD and the others, that an alliance HAS been formed: the brotherhood. According to Trevor, the brotherhood consists of himself, Brandon, Aaron, and Skyler. Trevor says the brotherhood and their teams will be the final four teams left.

It is now time for the blue team to hand the samadhi over to a team they want to handicap. Without hesitation, Jonna tells the others they will give the samadhi to the orange team, but for no particular reason. The orange team quietly accepts the samadhi, and the other teams smile, knowing they will be able to compete during the temple mission.moreless
