Wash-Out
AIRED:
It's day 2 on the "Endurance" beach, and the 14 new contestants learn they will be pairing up with their partnars later in the day. J.D. meets the teens on the beach, to get a feeling of who wants to be who's partner. When asked who he wants to partner up with, Shep says he wants to partner with either Jacquelynn or Christa. Jaquelynn feels that could be a good partnership. J.D. leaves the teens until later that day, and advises them to begin thinking about what partner AND team color they want. Later, the teens begin to discuss who they want to be partnered up with. In interviews, many of the girls seem to want either Shep, Phil or Tyler as their partner. At the same time, there is some animosity over the fact that many of the boys want to be partnered with Jacquelynn. While Wayne complains that HE should get Jacquelynn as his partner, Annie tells Calley and Michelle that Jacquelynn only wants to be partnered with Shep because she finds him attractive. Later, the teens meet on the beach to finally find out who will be partnered with who. In the competition "Wash Out", colored balls will drop from tubes above the contestants. The color of the ball caught is the team that contestant will be on. To mix things up a bit, the teens are separated by gender, and cannot see the other group. As each ball is caught, the teens cannot see which member of the opposite sex caught their corresponding ball color. After the competition, the teens learn for the first time who will be their partners for the remainder of the game.

Blue Team: Christa and Scooter.

Orange Team: Michelle and Tyler

Green Team: Mike and Keetin

Purple Team: Annie and Jeff

Red Team: Jaquelynn and Phil

Grey Team: Wayne and Maryelle

Yellow Team: Calley and Shep Although the teens seem happy with who they were paired up with at first, private camera interviews reveal the truth. Annie says her team (Purple) has a good chance of winning because she and Jeff know what they want, while Christa says her partner, Scooter, thinks he is a one-man team. Later that evening, the teams are granted their first pyramid pieces. J.D. explains there are 4 more pieces to win. However, he explains that one piece, Perserverance, has been set aside for a team of contestants just now entering the game. It is then that J.D. reveals to the contestants that two contestants from Season 1 will be returning to the game for a second chance. When Max and Jenna from Season 1 reveal themselves, there are mixed reactions among the new contestants. Some are excited, while others feel Max and Jenna need to leave first. To make competition even more fierce, J.D. tells the teens that this season, the winners of the game will spend time at the Atlantis Paradise Island Hotel in the Bahamas, where they will get the oppurtunity to swim with dolphins and live the life of luxury. With the game having officially begun, the teams return to their huts, ready for the next day to begin.moreless
