  • The mighty empire that crafted great developments in art and engineering.

Thousands of years ago, the Aztecs stood as a brave and creative people in the land that would become Mexico. Their architecture and social beliefs inspired the construction of mighty steppe pyramids, subtly different in design from the Egyptian models but occupying an equally important role in religion and social culture. The system of belief paid homage to the gods embodying the powers of nature and mysticism. It involved sacrifice, but this was thought of as an honor. As time wore on, other empires learned of the Aztec presence and craved their resources. The Aztecs would eventually succumb to a war with Spanish conquistadors, but they were a people fiercely proud of their own identity. Their achievements stand as a testament which echoes to this day.
