Enid Blyton is a made-for-TV movie about Enid Blyton, the famous writer
of children novels in the 1940's to the 1960's. To escape her turbulent
family life when she was growing up, Enid tells stories to her siblings.
This started her love for story-telling. The film further recounts
Enid's successful writing career, troubled marriage, failure as a
mother, and authorship controversies. The film exposes the irony of the
adoration bestowed on Enid by her young fans who are unaware of her true
nature. Released in 2009, this BBC production stars Helena Bonham
Carter as Enid.
