  • While not as good as Phil Silvers, it was an amusing militry life show with solid characters

    based on a book \"Ensign O\'Toole and Me\" which was far more serious about the legendary Ensign O\'Toole in WWII. This sitcom was far more light hearted, though Dean Jones, as Ensign O\'Toole, did have the right sort of jaunty, competent confidence required to make it work. The Skipper of the ship, SS Appleby is never seen
