The title of this episode comes from the 1978 documentary 'Scared Straight' that filmed the confrontation of scary prisoners at Rahway State Prison, in New Jersey and some potential teenage criminals who had passed through the justice system. The idea was to scare the meek juvenile delinquents by having Rahway inmates bully them to understand what would be coming next if they were convicted of more serious crimes. Peter Falk narrated the original version and was broadcast on some stations with banned epithets un-bleeped.
