    The Good:

-Sean's fighting - both with Matt and Beverly - is extremely powerful, realistic, and unexpectedly funny at times.

-"She was driving on the wrong side of the street..." "So you FUCKED her?!"

-"Pucks" gets picked up, now to the chagrin of both Beverly and Sean.

    The Bad:

-Merc's character does not undergo any sort of real evolution throughout the season.

-Carol allows Merc to take credit for "Pucks."
  • I love it :-)))

    It was funny, just perfect!!!!

    Please come back.......
  • Sean and Bev prepare to leave for London

For a show that progressively became funnier and funnier throughout its season, this episode was pretty high on dramatic moments. However, David Crane and the rest of the crew do a great job of mixing in some comedy with it all. It's that uncomfortable humor that you laugh it even as you attempt to empathize with the characters over what happened.

Matt LeBlanc hasn't exactly changed much over the course of these seven episodes, but he's certainly provided much of the humor. The fight between Matt and Sean after Sean learns that him and Bev slept together was awesome, and the way it just dragged on and on and on forever made it that much funnier. Also, the story that Matt told to Sean to cover up his lie was hilarious ("I hit a.... uhh, deer." Matt says as he looks at a plastic reindeer decoration)

I also thought it was nice to see Merc as something other than a joking awful person.. although he eventually jumps back into that role, he went insane for a little bit as he thought about the pilots that the network had to offer. I liked him more as an angry aggressive executive then a comedian who makes fun of his blind wife and the accents of British people.

Overall, I think that this show worked. They left the finale in a place where it could be picked up for another season, although I'm not sure the ratings are anywhere near good enough to warrant another one. But the finale left stuff up in the air and left some potential for some more episodes.
  • Season 1 Finale

So I was quite upset over last episode's events and I was really not looking forward to this episode, but Episodes really handled it quite well. Even in the most dramatic and intense scenes, this show can still make you laugh, I don't know about you, but I think that's definitely something.

The ending was priceless, after all the fights and ongoing tension, they get picked up, that was so awesome, and I'm really looking forward to the future dynamics this show will bring to the second season.

Matt Leblanc continues to be the best thing about this show and you can tell here, some of his lines are just golden, and his comedic timing really is great. Great and satisfying finale, Episodes!

The season finale, and I pray not series finale, of Episodes aired today. One of the freshest shows to come along in awhile delivered yet another strong half hour of TV. Not only was this a funny episode with many comedic highlights (the fight between Sean and Matt for one) but they tested the dramatic waters and succeeded in that regard, something most Showtime comedies have not been able to do.

The ending was a bit predictable though, as we knew Pucks would get picked up to give this show a reason to continue, but that does not mean it was the right way to end this season.

Great episode, please renew this show Showtime!
