  • Oh you're proposing???

I love Abby's cynicism. Great episode. Lot's of excellent character development for our main players and not too much focus on the patients this time around.
  • Everything on hold...

Another of those char development episode, but little different angle. Abby is the main reason I loved this episode - she really showed again that miserable Abby side and the scene at the roof with Carter - that man, that good heart and endless supportive... she should be so happy that there is someone like Carter for her.

happy to hear Eric is alive and as Abby said - Maggy now have to see the other side of the illness - just wait.

But it was not only them. Susan and her cancer patient, Pratt and Deb... and Weaver ofcourse too. And Luka is back. Loved those jokes about him...moreless

    • Pratt: Women don't know what the hell they want! Am I right? I'm right, right? They don't want a commitment until you give it to 'em, then they want their freedom. So, naturally, you oblige. Then they accuse you of trying to be with somebody else. I'm telling you, you can't win.
Carter: Women can be hard to figure out sometimes.
Pratt: Sometimes? Now you know who's got it all figured out I think? Homosexuals. No, I'm serious. Just listen to me. Look, there's two guys living together: toilet seat's always up, channel's always on ESPN. You can drink beers in the bed, leave your clothes on the floor. I'm telling you, gay cats got it good.
Carter: Why are you telling me this?
      Pratt: I have no idea.

    • Susan: (to Chen, about Pratt) You're forgetting the number one rule of dating: men are scum.

    • (on the phone to Luka's answering machine)
Weaver: Yeah, Luka. This is Kerry Weaver. I'm down two attending and up forty patients. If you don't get in here and start working your scheduled shifts I'm going to call the INS, tell them your green cards are fake and have your ass deported!

    • Susan: Hey, the prodigal doctor returns.
Luka: Why is there a sumo wrestler in One?
      Susan: See...like you never left.

    • (discussing a teenage patient)
Chen: I think he has a crush on you.
Susan: Oh, please. For starters, I'm old enough to be... well... an older woman.
Chen: Here's to you, Mrs. Robinson.

    • (discussing Susan's blind date)
      Chen: Was it that bad?
Susan: Well, let me put it this way; I almost had to fake it.
      Chen: An orgasm?
      Susan: A seizure.

    • Harms: I'm gonna go restock the rig.
      Chen: You mean, 'steal stuff'?

    • Weaver: Is Luka here yet?
Frank: The Croat? Does he still work here?

    • Dr. Carter: What do I want? I want you to stop being so afraid. I want us to stop being so careful.
Abby: I'm not afraid! I'm just...
Dr. Carter: I want to marry you!
      Abby: What?
Dr. Carter: I want to marry you.
      Abby: Are you proposing?
      Dr. Carter: Yeah.
      Abby: You're crazy.
Dr. Carter: Well then, I'll fit right in.

    • Abby: We don't get to do anything. Just have to wait... It's really hard, but you just have to go about your life and do everyday things; go to work, do your laundry, clean the house. You know, just try to keep your mind off all the horrible things that might be happening to him. And you do that, for a week, or a month, or maybe a year.
Maggie: Then someday he'll show up and we'll drop everything and we'll go to him.
Abby: Or, we get that other phone call. (pauses) Welcome to the outside of the disease.

    • Lewis: This is Dr. Pratt. He is going to give you a nice warm bath.
      Derelict: With bubbles?
      Paramedic: Later, dude.
      Gallant>/strong>: (chuckles) With bubbles...

    • Weaver: Where's my purse creep?

    • Pratt: (to the paramedics) That guy's a corpse, and whatever you two do with corpses I don't need to see.
