Episode Summary

Two months after the lockdown, a new group of med students arrives in the ER to pandemonium, caused by the closure of another city ER. Corday returns to the ER, having lost some of her beside manner. Gallant is on a psych rotation, all the while annoying the ER staff. Romano continues physical therapy. Weaver is acting strangely, and breaks down and cries in front of Elizabeth. Pratt brings a man, pronounced dead, back to life which infuriates Kayson.moreless

    Corday is back and have to face Weaver who acts like she is chief of staff, then crowded elivator where plays "Piano Man" that reminds her the night when they were out with their parents and sang it, then picture.. more patients. It is all just falling apart and she makes people around her cry and cannot help it.

    On all other - it was action on action, but not too many cases that would have get little more attention. Only the one were Pratt thought he is doing the right thing - saving a man who had been down more than 40 minutes and by that giving falls hope for that man's children. Not very impressive episode.moreless

  • Pratt decision to bring a man back to life gives rise to false hope to his sons, as he dies anyway.

    This episode has Carter and Abby openingly together within the ER. Abby does however leave Carter asleep in the Drs' lounge at the end of her shift.

    Elizabeth is back in County and spends a significant amount of time back in the ER. On one occasion she locks horns with Kerry, and when they 'discuss' it later, Kerry breaks down and cries. Elizabeth's accusations were much stronger than MArk ever made, but were basically the same. Kerry is positioning herself to take over from Romano, and cannot cope with being confronted.
    Elizabeth has to tell a man that his daughter has died and she does it, but with a great deal of difficulty. Susan had tried to spare her, and by turns spare the father.

    Gallant is on a psyche rotation, but down in ER. He gets a black eye, but does manage to treat a number of patients, medically as well.

    A new group of interns spend the day waiting to be shown around by Carter. One, Erin, stays 16 hours, to finally get her induction by Carter!moreless
