  • And Weaver orders noone to go to Africa anymore..

    8.1
Kem in Er and that just cannot be usual day. First she goes to Luka lecture where he tries to make people understand that what first look seems like saving money, isn't one and Luka is not very amazed about that. Then she takes care of a sick people who speak French and asks the whole apartment to come to check up as they all may be infected - and then they are totally full. Oh, and not mentioning that she goes for ride-a-long to get those sick people.

But on other storylines - Pratt has to overcome the mistake he made in last episode and he has troubles and Sam.. no matter what she says, she ends up kissing Luka on L. mmm.. rather interesting.moreless
  • Making out on the subway is hot.

    8.6
I, like all on the ER, coulden't believe what Dr. Weaver make with Dr. Romano money. But anyway if she wasn't gay, thay would totally where made for each other,

Hahahaha, Kem is soo unpopular that by the end of the day everybody want to kill her, thing that i wish i could have done since like 3 episode ago, but anyway. I mean even Carter want to kill her, and then she was soo smart to buy candies and chocolates so she get more alterate.

Didn't like very much that it was a Carter/Kem/Dr. Pratt episode, i don't like them very much, but anyway everyone has to have his oportunity to revel there feeling and try to understand why they act like they do.

Poor Luka the new med studant are sooo stupid and then poor Lulka that is very shy and couldn't talk in public, oh but, Kem was there and because she is very smart she help him with the stupids med students.

I love what happen between Luka and Sam at the subway, that was totally sweet and better because she was the one to kiss him, not him kissing her, but of course then he like it so he kiss her back.

    • Carter: Doug. How are you feeling?
      Doug: Better, warmer.
Carter: Good. (to Sam) Where's he coming from?
      Sam: MRI.
Carter: I said he didn't need that.
Sam: Pratt thought otherwise. Look, it's not my job to make sure your residents listen to you. (joins Chuny and Abby) You know, I'm getting pretty tired of doctors thinking that we work for them or that they can tell us what to do.
Chuny: The patients think it works that way, too.
Abby: I'm staying out of this conversation.

    • Corday: Kerry. Are we truly to believe that Robert left a substantial donation to establish a gay and lesbian center?
Frank: Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered. Whatever the hell that means.
Kerry: The actual designation was left to the discretion of the board. This is the one area where we felt that County was truly lacking.
Frank: Revenge is a dish best served cold.

    • Morales: (Gallant is on his paramedic ride-along) I hate this time of year. We must get thirty slip-and-fall calls a week. Right, Bordelli?
      Bordelli: At least.
Morales: (to Gallant) Here's an idea: if it's icy and you're old, don't go outside. Save yourself a broken hip.

    • Carter: Hey, would you mind if Kem observes in the hospital today?
      Kerry: Yeah.
Carter: Um, she has her master's degree in public health.
Kerry: Well, that's no reason to punish her. Give the poor woman a credit card, Carter. Let her have some fun.
Carter: I tried that. She would like to speak to the Public Health nurses and see how we track communicable disease.
Kerry: Sure, fine. Maybe she can motivate some of these slackers around here.

    • (Weaver has just dedicated the new Gay and Lesbian Center at the hospital to the late Dr. Romano)
Elizabeth: Did I miss the dedication?
      Carter: More like postmortem payback.

    • Weaver: (while walking away from Carter) From now on, no one else is going to Africa. I'm tired of this Albert Schweitzer routine.

    • Sam: (to Luka) You know what? Why don't you save your lectures for the med students? The nurses don't want to hear it.

    • Luka: How was your day?
      Sam: It sucked. Yours?
Luka: The same... About this morning.
      Sam: Uh, forget it.
Luka: No... I know sometimes I can be... overzealous? Is that the word?
Sam: I don't know. Is that Croatian for jerk?
Luka: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take my frustration out on you. Sometimes I just feel very passionate...
      (Sam kisses him)

    • Abby: Um, about earlier. I don't want you to get the wrong idea, about Luka. He's a good guy.
Sam: I'm not looking for anything right now.
Abby: O.k. I just thought you should know.
Sam: Thank you. But independence works pretty good for me. Although I wouldn't mind some regular sex.
Abby: No kidding. I'd settle for irregular sex.

    • Sam: What is it with Kovac and his holier than thou healing hands? I'm getting pretty sick of that.
Chuny: Oh, I don't know. Those healing hands have their good points. Right Abby?
Sam: Did you go out with Kovac?
      Abby: Briefly, yeah.
      Sam: And Carter?
      Abby: Yep.
      Chuny: Abby's the ER slut.
Abby: I went out with two doctors in five years that I've worked here.
Lester: Hey Abby. Are we still on for tonight?
      Abby: Yeah.
      Lester: Great. (leaves)
Abby: We're studying! And you shouldn't talk, Chuny.
      Chuny: (laughs) Kovac gets around.

    • (Kerry has just announced the Robert Romano center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans gender health care)
Abby: Is it just me, or does the eyes seem to follow you?
Carter: Was Romano's prosthetic arm destroyed in the accident?
      Abby: Why?
Carter: 'Cause if it wasn't, it's gonna hunt Dr. Weaver down and strangle her.
Kem: He wasn't a big supporter of gay rights?
      Carter: Ah, no not really.
      Abby: That's too creepy.
Corday: Did I miss the dedication?
      Carter: More like post-mortem payback.
      Corday: Oh my God.

    • (Luka's wearing a suit)
Abby: Look at you, Mr. GQ.
Frank: What, do you have a deportation hearing?

    • (Susan tells Kerry and Abby that she's pregnant, then promptly throws up on the floor)
      Abby: Clean-up on aisle 5.

    • Carter: Frank, have you seen Pratt?
      Frank: No.
      Carter: How about Kem?
Frank: Haven't seen her either. Maybe they're together. You need to keep better track of your woman Carter.

    • Neela: So, how are you liking Chicago?
Kem: It's very...nice. How long have you been here?
Neela: I've been in America for seven years. Chicago for the last three.
      Kem: Do you like it?
Neela: I still feel like I'm getting settled in. But it's quite pleasant for a big city, really. Although it's not quite London.
      Kem: No. Or Paris.
Neela: No. It's much more agreeable in the summer. Tad warmer, too.
Kem: That is good to know.
Neela: And the people are friendly enough.
Kem: Yeah. They're larger than I expected. The people.
Neela: Yeah. They're quite fond of their giant portions here. Big Gulp, Supersize, Monster Fries, all that.
Kem: I saw a woman drinking a bucket of coffee this morning.
      Neela: Actually, that's quite common.
