(Weaver has just dedicated the new Gay and Lesbian Center at the hospital to the late Dr. Romano) Elizabeth: Did I miss the dedication? Carter: More like postmortem payback.
Weaver: (while walking away from Carter) From now on, no one else is going to Africa. I'm tired of this Albert Schweitzer routine.
Sam: (to Luka) You know what? Why don't you save your lectures for the med students? The nurses don't want to hear it.
Luka: How was your day? Sam: It sucked. Yours? Luka: The same... About this morning. Sam: Uh, forget it. Luka: No... I know sometimes I can be... overzealous? Is that the word? Sam: I don't know. Is that Croatian for jerk? Luka: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take my frustration out on you. Sometimes I just feel very passionate... (Sam kisses him)
Abby: Um, about earlier. I don't want you to get the wrong idea, about Luka. He's a good guy. Sam: I'm not looking for anything right now. Abby: O.k. I just thought you should know. Sam: Thank you. But independence works pretty good for me. Although I wouldn't mind some regular sex. Abby: No kidding. I'd settle for irregular sex.
Sam: What is it with Kovac and his holier than thou healing hands? I'm getting pretty sick of that. Chuny: Oh, I don't know. Those healing hands have their good points. Right Abby? Sam: Did you go out with Kovac? Abby: Briefly, yeah. Sam: And Carter? Abby: Yep. Chuny: Abby's the ER slut. Abby: I went out with two doctors in five years that I've worked here. Lester: Hey Abby. Are we still on for tonight? Abby: Yeah. Lester: Great. (leaves) Abby: We're studying! And you shouldn't talk, Chuny. Chuny: (laughs) Kovac gets around.
(Kerry has just announced the Robert Romano center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans gender health care) Abby: Is it just me, or does the eyes seem to follow you? Carter: Was Romano's prosthetic arm destroyed in the accident? Abby: Why? Carter: 'Cause if it wasn't, it's gonna hunt Dr. Weaver down and strangle her. Kem: He wasn't a big supporter of gay rights? Carter: Ah, no not really. Abby: That's too creepy. Corday: Did I miss the dedication? Carter: More like post-mortem payback. Corday: Oh my God.
(Luka's wearing a suit) Abby: Look at you, Mr. GQ. Frank: What, do you have a deportation hearing?
(Susan tells Kerry and Abby that she's pregnant, then promptly throws up on the floor) Abby: Clean-up on aisle 5.
Carter: Frank, have you seen Pratt? Frank: No. Carter: How about Kem? Frank: Haven't seen her either. Maybe they're together. You need to keep better track of your woman Carter.
Neela: So, how are you liking Chicago? Kem: It's very...nice. How long have you been here? Neela: I've been in America for seven years. Chicago for the last three. Kem: Do you like it? Neela: I still feel like I'm getting settled in. But it's quite pleasant for a big city, really. Although it's not quite London. Kem: No. Or Paris. Neela: No. It's much more agreeable in the summer. Tad warmer, too. Kem: That is good to know. Neela: And the people are friendly enough. Kem: Yeah. They're larger than I expected. The people. Neela: Yeah. They're quite fond of their giant portions here. Big Gulp, Supersize, Monster Fries, all that. Kem: I saw a woman drinking a bucket of coffee this morning. Neela: Actually, that's quite common.
Steven Culp (who portrays Dave Spencer, a recurring character in Season 10) made a previous guest star appearance as a different character in the Season 6 episode "Leave It to Weaver."
Although in the opening credits, Ming-Na does not appear in this episode.
Title: "Get Carter" This episode shares a title with the 1971 movie Get Carter, starring Michael Caine, about a small-time London mobster avenging his brother's death. A remake of the film, set in the U.S. and starring Sylvester Stallone and Mickey Rourke, was released in 2000.
