In this episode it is revealed that Dr. Barnett has left emergency medicine.
Goof: The female police officer is credited as "Officer Janet Shatford," but when Frank brings her to the trauma room, he introduces her as "Officer Flores."
Ray: So, that Brenner guy...
Neela: Uh-huh?
Ray: Kinda seems like a dick.
(after Brenner and Morris save a patient, Banfield abruptly cuts off their celebratory talk; she leaves the trauma room and Brenner follows her)
Brenner: You should really try to control your enthusiasm.
Banfield: Excuse me?
Brenner: We just kicked arse in there! Why not enjoy the victory a little?
Banfield: Because we need to remain vigilant. A patient could crash and burn while you're doing your victory dance.
Brenner: Okay, listen, Cate... (Banfield turns to look at him icily, and there is an uncomfortable pause; Brenner proceeds nervously) Anyone call you that?
Banfield: Once.
Brenner: Okay, we work under a lot of stress, so when something good does happen, why not enjoy it? Just have some fun.
Banfield: There is no room for that kind of levity in the ER. (she walks away)
Brenner: (calling after her) Yeah, no offense, but if that's your attitude, then your day is always going to suck!
Banfield: I don't really approve of ER personnel wearing costumes.
Morris: The kids seem to like it.
Banfield: Yes, but what adult wants a cancer diagnosis from a reject of Animal House?
Frank: (indignantly) I'm Julius Caesar.
Ray: Uh, who's that?
Neela: Uh, new Chief of the ER.
Ray: Another one. How many does that make?
Neela: I've lost count.
Music: "Go," Sparklehorse with The Flaming Lips
Dr. Banfield: Yes, but what adult wants a cancer diagnosis from a reject of Animal House?
National Lampoon's Animal House is a 1978 comedy film about a college fraternity house which is due to be shut down because of it's wild toga parties, road trips, and practical jokes.
