  • Emotionally deep, giving us deeper looks into chars, more positive than some other episodes but nothing special - the same good quality

    6.5
For a time we have a time in Doug's life. lately there have sot been much about him and he has managed to stay away from troubles but they do not let him go so easily - he brings in a girl whose name he even did not know and she dies. He do not take it very hard first but others take it not the way he wants. And in the end when that girl's sister comes and he learns more about her and Carol gives a push from herside, he realize that the life he has lately living, is quite miserable and not the thing he wants. Does he has strength to come out of it.

We see some troubles with Carter again. Does they always have to make him feel bad and Benton does not give him any rest at all?

But the end of this episode becomes more positive. For a moment Jeanie is enjoying her life and smiles again, Carter gets some encouraging words and seems that Carols seems to find a solution to her house problem.moreless
  • goes in many directions but all effectively

    8.2
I'm not really sure why I like this episode as much as I do, but it was one of the episodes that attracted me to the show ER. The episode begins with a bang with Dr Ross bringing in the woman having the seizure, and it looks like a very serious episode, but there are other story lines that keep it lighter. You almost have to feel sorry for Doug, he realizes that he screwed up and feels very bad about it. I get the idea that during most of that episode he just wanted to hide because everyone was suspicious of him. I like how they throw in the Carter/Benton storyline with the slides then with beginning the pedes rotation and the story line with Jeanie and the dance instructor to keep it from getting too serious. All in all this was a very solid episode.moreless
