Title: "Long Day's Journey" The title of this episode is a reference to Eugene O'Neill's autobiographical play Long Day's Journey into Night. Written in 1940 but published posthumously in 1956, it concerns a family that finds it difficult to live in the present, and whose existence is mired in the dark recesses of a bitter and troubled past.
