On New Year's Eve, a father injured in an auto accident is not worried about his own health, only his son's. His son is ok, but he suffers complications and requires surgery, but will be ok also. Greene undergoes experimental brain surgery in New York with Corday by his side.moreless
  • Greene on surgery and he has great support.

It was beautiful episode to show the bound between Mark and Elizabeth and what she is ready to do and support him and she is not giving up, even when Mark's usual pessimism gets on a way.

The operation was a somehow weird to look, but also beautiful in the way to show the bound between them.

On ER, they treat a father and son who were on car accident. First it looks fine, then boy's condition gets harder, later dad's but they manage to save both of them. And I think they both get to improve their relationship and work out some problems from the past.moreless
  • Greene undergoes his brain surgery whilst a patient involved in a car accident comes to the er.

This epi had a different spin on it, in the eyes of the patient themselves putting a different perspective on what the patient goes through and sees rather than the doctors and nurses themselves.

Mark underwent his surgery with elizabeth by his side.At one point i didn't think he was going to make it but somehow the writers manage to put his personality into such a scene with him talking about boys names and adding that itch on his knee made the whole operation seem less serious as Mark would make it seem. But Elizabeth stuck by him and if he wants proof of how she feels this is certainly it.moreless

woah, i never knew Sammy was in an episode of ER. I am so gonna have to see this episode again sometime. I mean, i sorta remeber this episode, a little, but not much. I never knew the kid was Jared. Good thing TNT plays ER all the time, it\'ll come up again, probly while i\'m at camp. lol.
  • In this episode we see a patients point of view and Mark has a successful operation

    9.9
    "Superb"
This episode showed a lot of emotion, either be it between, (almost) husband and wife, or son and father. The closeness between Dan Harris and Paul Harris is amazing, despite the "argument" in the car before the accident, they are very close and always kidding around with one another which is very nice to see and brings a tear to the eye.

I admired Elizabeth for standing strong besides Mark. That was a very tough moment for them, but it ended all right. It was very cute the talk they had while Mark was having the surgery, about Mark thinking that Elizabeth would have a boy and then discussing the baby names.

It was very different, but very interesting, seeing the hospital and its staff from a patient's point of view, it showed how scary it could be, like for Dan Harris and Mark.
