Goof: Abby tells Luka her divorce became final the previous month (suggesting August) but in the Season 6 episode "Such Sweet Sorrow" (set in May), she told Malucci that her divorce became final that day.
Goof: In a deleted scene included on the DVD, Abby talks to Malucci about her divorce being final on that day. She tells him that she is keeping her husband's name which is "Wychinsky," not "Wyzinsky" as is used in all other episodes.
Goof: When Chen is discussing Carter's mental state with Greene, she mentions the DMS-IV. What she should have said is the DSM-IV, the abbreviation commonly used for the 4th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Goof: After David Greene passes away, one can see John Cullum, the actor that portrays him, still breathing ever so slightly.
Goof: Luka tells Carol that his wife and children died during the Croatian war when the building they lived in was bombed, but nine episodes earlier, in "Family Matters," he told Kerry that they had been taken away and killed.
Goof: Although Dr. Weaver has been on suspension, the initials "KW" are clearly seen up on the patient board.
Goof: The electronic gears that animate the fake lizard can be heard clearly when it moves.
Goof: In a close-up shot on Luka when he is helping the girl that was hit, one can see audio cables hanging down.
Goof: When Carter bangs his wheelchair against the door, he moves his foot away right before the impact occurs.
Goof: In the previous episode,"Be Still My Heart," Greene and Corday left the hospital at 8 p.m., before Carter's patient died, to have dinner with their parents. In this episode, however, the time of Carter's patient's death was given as 19:19 (7:19 p.m.).
Goof: When Weaver goes to talk with Cupid, the camera and operator are reflected in the window.
Goof: When Carol and Luka go through Trauma 1 to get to Trauma 2, a crew member can be seen as they walk through the door. They even roll out of frame.
Goof: When Mark is extubating Dr. Hudson, it's clearly seen that the other end of the tube is under his hand and not being removed from Hudson's mouth.
At one point Luka says "Cutty-pie" instead of "Cutie-pie," the very first of many "Lukaisms" to come.
Goof: When Abby and Carol are talking, Lucy brings in a patient in a wheelchair who throws up next to Abby's feet, but when Abby and Carol walk away and the camera pulls out, no vomit is seen on the floor.
Kovac tells Weaver that his family was taken, and then killed, in the war. This is the first time he admits that his wife and two children are dead. The war he is referring to is the Croatian War of Independence (1991-1995).
In gratitude to Mark for being her birthing partner, Carol decides to name one of her babies after his mother. Upon learning that Mark's mom is named "Ruth," she hesitates, and Mark says that her middle name is "Katherine." Carol breathes a sigh of relief and says she likes "Kate."
When Luka finds Carol in active labor on an El platform bench, he helps her down the stairs to street level. This is odd, because on the platform they were right next to an operable elevator.
In this episode we find out that Malucci has blood type A+, Haleh has AB, and Carter has O-.
Goof: At the end of the episode, Dr. Lawrence recites a portion of the poem "The Peace of Wild Things" and attributes it to William Blake. The poem was in fact written by Wendell Berry.
