Sam and Luka move in together. When a raped and badly beaten woman is brought into the ER, Sam wants to try a risky procedure to let the woman talk. The woman dies, however, and Luka covers for Sam. At Susan's one-month review, Weaver suggests that she be more of a leader. Susan schedules a JCAHO drill, which proves to frustrate the staff more than help them learn. So, this is Sam episode, I would say and very emotional one. She gets emotionally involved in a case where woman is raped and then hardly beaten and detectives want information. The woman wants to give it too, so Sam takes a risks to give woman a change to talk but she gets worse and crashes. Despite their efforts she dies and Kovac covers for her. Not only he says that this might happened any reason, he also stage evidence so that nothing would lead to what happened.

The other case, rather interesting one, was about Asian girl who had baby and denied it. It looked first that his brother might be the father, but in the end, it came out that the brother was onlyone to get through her and she was then able to tell about her bf and what really had happened. And Carter.. it was quite hard for him.moreless
