Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan, these SNL comedians are funny, but they were not funny here. Perhaps they had to try and be more family-oriented for ESPN, but I really did not like their performance. Morgan had a few good lines, and the movie parody with Peyton Manning was mildly amusing, but the show as a whole just was not that funny.
That being said, the show was not all that bad. It was good to see these athletes who work hard get rewarded and while an ESPY will never be the equivalent of an Oscar or a Grammy, it is a start.
Worth watching as the 2 1/2 hours really flew by, but definitely a let down.moreless
