    I watched the first minute or so of S04e01 yesterday (only the "Previously in Eureka"-bit) and I found that the beginning from S04e01 does not fit the ending from S03e18.

    For instance:

    ***SPOILER***

    and I don't recall seeing that in S03e18.

    So I stopped watching.
    I read rumours somewhere that there was an extended version of S03e18. Does anyone know if that's true?

    That's weird, I watch Eureka as it airs, so it had been a while between the seasons and I didn't even notice that had happened. It doesn't sound like you missed all that much though. I'd just roll with it, if I were you. There's a huge reboot in season 4 anyway.

    You do realize that starting episodes offer Recaps, not just to the previous episode, but the previous episodeS. That hologram was from a very long time ago, they were doing a quick recap of the entire season (03) you know:

    @Willgk82
    Thank you, I watch Eureka irregular, so I think I missed it or forgot about it.
    Any ideas on which episode?

    I'm pretty sure you're wrong. I remember when it happened, and everybody thought there was something missing. The hologram is specifically from an event between Tess leaving for Australia in s03e18, and Jack starting to get over it in s04e01. There are also no time travel episodes from s03e11, when Tess was introduced, to s03e18, when she left. As far as I recall, the only time travel issue that was never resolved was the group altering the past in Season 4; even Henry going back in Season 2 ended up being about putting the timeline the way it was supposed to be. In the current timeline, Jack and Tess never broke up because she never took the Australia job. Eventually, he admitted to her that he'd moved on; and she left.

    The original poster is correct. He's talking about the first episode of the season JUST BEFORE THEY GO BACK IN TIME

    They just threw that at us out of nowhere, but I got it. A lot of viewers though wondered if they'd missed an episode or if there was another pre-season web series. Instead it was a "In the last few months since the season finale... THIS happened... let's see how this plays out."

    I guess they just quickly wanted to handle the fact that (A) Jack + Tess broke up and (B) Jack had already started moving on. Otherwise, had they JUST broken up right before the time skip... he might want to continue dating alt-timeline-Tess instead of getting with Allison.
