    • Jo: Zane, you have to know how crazy it is to be jealous of something with Carter and me that never happened.
Zane: Yeah, but the thing is it's not. I've been digging into the programming. The virtual Eureka we experienced in there, it's based on predictive algorithms from our own psychological profiles. So, given the right set of circumstances, you and Carter hooking up, it's not just possible– it's probable.
Jo: One of the circumstances was me thinking that you were dead, right?
      Zane: Right.
Jo: So don't make me kill you, and you have nothing to worry about.

    • Fargo: (as Carter) Accepted to M.I.T. as a sophomore. Got my PhD at 22. Recruited by Global Dynamics the next year. Now my entire scientific career is at the mercy of Sheriff Carter.
Allison: I'm more concerned that his body is at your mercy. What if you get stuck this way?
: (as Carter) Wow, Dr. Blake. Either you're going to have to date me in Sheriff Carter's body, or date Sheriff Carter in mine. That's quite a Sophie's Choice.
Allison: (panicked) Grace, we have to fix this.

    • Grace: Wait, you're Fargo?
Henry: I'm sorry, I'm having trouble believing this.
Fargo/Carter: Just run a magnitoencephalographic neural scan and find out.
      Allison: See?
Henry: Wow. I mean, that is definitely not Jack.

    • Jo: I gotta head back to GD. Warren Hughes is coming from D.O.D. Human Resources.
Carter: Oh, I love that little guy. Say hi for me.
Jo: Or you can tell him yourself. He's conducting reviews of all the Astraeus crew members to ensure they're fit to return to work at GD.
Carter: And the fun never stops.

  • Allusions

    • In Carter's second mind swap, he trades places with Donovan. The scene closely resembles a scene from the pilot episode of Quantum Leap where the main character, Dr. Sam Beckett, leaps into the body of a pilot. When in the shower shaving, he is looking into a similar mirror. Jack (as Zane) completes the reference by saying, "Oh boy," Beckett's usual response when he deals with the initial awkward situations in which most leaps put him.
