Eve: The Messenger is a virtual series, meaning that it exists only in the form of screenplays. It is a form of fan fiction, written and produced by Alexandra Clarke. This series consists of four season's worth of episodes, which were originally published between January 1, 2003 and June 1, 2003. The central character in Eve: The Messenger is Eve (Adrienne Wilkinson), the daughter of Xena in the real television series Xena: Warrior Princess. Eve appears in some episodes of Xena from seasons 5 and 6. Eve: The Messenger begins when a powerful spell transports Eve to modern-day New York City. She initially finds it difficult to adapt to living in the 21st century, as she tries to escape her past. Eve eventually learns that she must atone for her past actions by fighting evil. Her primary companions include the demon hunters Craig Summers (Austin St. John) and Alex Mackenzie (Tracy Lynn Cruz), who help Eve in fulfilling her destiny.
