Episode Summary

EDIT
The former Big Apple neurosurgeon, Dr.Andrew Brown, puts on his scrubs for the first time since he relocated his family to Colorado to operate on Amy's comatose boyfriend, Colin (Mike Erwin), with the help of his friend and surgery partner from New York, Dr. Brian Holderman (guest star Lamont Thompson). Adding to his performance anxiety is the identity of the patient---Colin Hart, the boy who was dating Amy before she stole Ephram's heart. It also doesn't help that the tricky procedure he plans to perform has never been attempted before. Amy leans on Ephram for support as she awaits the outcome. Meanwhile, an emotional Bright breaks down and admits what actually happened the day of the car accident as Colin's former life in Everwood is also revisited as flashbacks reveal some startling secrets about the teen's last days before the accident that put him in the hospital.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • At 7:22, as Brian is talking about how the slices were wrapped for travel, the shadow of the camera and boom-mic are visible on his coat, just under his left arm.

    • There is a travel form of Clue, but it is very small and the rules were changed.

    • Colin, near the beginning of this episode, gets out of the lake and shakes his wet hair onto Amy and stretches. He clearly has dark underarm hair. In the last scene of the same episode depicting the same day, he is lying on his back with his arm over his head and has no underarm hair at all.

    • Wouldn't the cops have checked to see if Colin and Bright were drunk after the accident therefore causing Dr. Abbott to know about it?

    • Clue is not a two-player game. You need at least three people to play a game of Clue.

Note: Clue does have 2 player instructions. When you think you know "who done it" you look in the envelope. If you are wrong, the other guy wins. Even if it doesn't, many games are played by fewer or more people than given in the instructions.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Andy: CLUE doesn't come in travel size?
Ephram: One of the world's greater atrocities.

    • Bright: (To Harold) Dad, depending on how many people are there today, do you think I could borrow that rifle to shoot myself?

    • Brian: Gentlemen and lady, worship me. For I have brought unto you... New York City.
Andy: Did you leave anything behind for the actual New Yorkers?

    • Bright: You know, there's a reason men don't wear ruffles.
Colin: It's not that bad. If this were 1775, you'd be a total chick magnet.

    • Colin: Hey, Johnny Tremain. Wanna see something that will knock your pantaloons off?

    • Ephram: So, what's he like? Colin.
Nina: He's a charmer. You know, he's the kind of kid who forgets to mow your lawn for two weeks, then when he finally comes, you end up paying him for three. I think he was All State football. And pretty smart, too.
Ephram: So he's basically like God.

    • Mole: Nice truck, Hart. Too bad it's your Daddy's.
Colin: Whatever, McNally. Like I can't drive this whenever I want.
      Mole: I'm sure you can.
Colin: Besides your brother there is still the kid who threw up on the DMV guy during his driving test.

    • Amy: Ephram, what are you doing here?
      Ephram: I wanted a TWIX.
Amy: You came a long way.
Ephram: Well, there's two in a pack, and I only wanted one. I needed someone to share with.
Amy: I just wanted to touch base with normal for a bit.
Ephram: You definitely called the wrong person then.

  • NOTES (2)

    • This episode marks the first appearance of Mike Erwin as Colin Hart. He only appears as a guest star in this episode.

Alex Lloyd - My Friend (from Watching Angel's Mend soundtrack).
Bobby Short - I've Got You Under My Skin.
Doves - Caught By The River (from The Last Broadcasts soundtrack).

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Colin: How's it goingm Johnny Tremain?
Johnny Tremain is a book by Esther Forbes about a young silversmith and his involvement in the start of the American Revolution.
