  • every show of ' Everybody Hates Chris'

    The humor is kinda true!
  • Chris refuses to do his household chores; Mr. Omar gets a report that he died and starts saying anything. AWESOME!

This episode is SOOO Great. It has so many awesome things:

*I love how Chris gets Maturer and refusing and annoying-youthieness in this episode.

*I love how Mr. Omar shouted Julius is Cheap.

*What I love the MOST about this episode is how Chris and his father's relationships tighten, and when Chris's mom forcibly removes Chris from the house. The story? On one day, Rochelle (as usual) asks Chris to clean the table and wash the dishes (after Chris Rock; the narrator; explains that when your parents tell you to do something, you DO it). Chris suddenly says no. She threatens to tell her father, causing tension.

I can't explain the episode, but for the LINK to the Episode (watchable), Check out:

  • Shows a return to form

When Chris decides to take a stand against Rochelle by refusing to do clear the table and do the dishes, I immediately new this would be a fantastic episode. Rochelle is such a dynamic character - her mannerisms, facial expressions and the way she gets her point acroos makes her one of the strongest leads on the show. Now Chris definitely had a point and I actually thought he would succeed in it. I loved Rochelle's reaction to Chris calling her bluff as it showed her tough exterior isnt as bulletproof as she likes to think. Julius' talk with Chris was spot on but when he turned on Chris at the end and taold Chris to 'clear the table and do the dishes' - the realisation of children never win really sunk in with Chris.

A really funny episode that has joined my list of favourites: Everybody Hates the Babysitter, Everybody Hates Snow Day, Everybody Hates Bad Boys and now this one!moreless
  • Chris says no to his mother.

I will be honest, I watch a lot of TV. A lot. But even that was not enough to justify watching Everybody Hates Chris when there are so many other options out there. I was contemplating giving it up.

And then this episode came along, which restored my faith in the series. I was not rolling on the floor laughing, there were not many "lol" moments, but it was a good story from start to finish. It featured a much-anticipated natural clash between Rochelle and Christopher and was written perfectly.

And of course, you can't go wrong with having Mr. Omar do absolutely anything on the show.moreless

    • Julius: The one thing you have to learn about women is nothing makes sense. Once you learn that you can become a man.

    • Rochelle: What did you say?
      Chris: I said no.
      (Fantasy Sequence)
Rochelle: That's what I thought you said.
(starts throwing silverware at Chris, pinning him to the wall)
Rochelle (pulls out knife) Now say it again!

    • Monk: I also will take that, uh... helmet and those death darts.
Mr. Omar: That's a crock-pot and pens, man!
Monk: Not in the jungle, it's not. You know, I can make me a hand grenade out of a can of Cheez Whiz and a dress sock.
Mr. Omar: Well, you need to use it to blow your own brains out. Don't they have centers for people like you?

    • Chris: Why didn't you wake me up? I'm late for school!
Rochelle: You grown. Wake yourself up. If you don't wanna do nothin' for me, I ain't doin' nothin' for you.
      Chris: (narrating) And she didn't.

    • Vanessa: Chris, you are a child. Parents don't negotiate with children.

    • Rochelle: Where have you been?
Julius: I stopped to get coffee.
      Narrator: With his coffee coupon.

    • Narrator: While my mother was teachin' me lessons about life, Mr. Omar was teachin' a lesson about death.

    • Narrator: How come when a woman says, "Fine," it's never actually fine?

    • Narrator: When you're a kid, one of the most important lessons you learn is when your parents tell you to do something...
Rochelle: Y'all better eat that liver.
Chris, Drew and Tonya: Yes, ma'am.
Narrator: ...you do it, no matter what you think.

    • Narrator: I had put my foot down, but unfortunately, it was into my own grave.

    • Chris: Ma, I didn't eat all the dinner by myself. I shouldn't have to clean it all up by myself.
Rochelle: I don't wear all the clothes, but... I wash them by myself. I don't sleep in all the beds in this house, but I... I make them all by myself. I don't pee in all of the toilets in this house by myself!
Chris: Ma, Drew and Tonya are sittin' right there doin' nothin'. Why can't they help?
Rochelle: Because I told you to do it! Now, I don't wanna hear no more back talk. Now, clean this mess up.
Chris: No. I'm not gonna do it.
Rochelle: Lord, please help me before I knock this boy's neck off.

    • Julius: Why is this table such a mess?
Chris: (narrating) Somebody fired the maid.
