    9.1
This was a cool episode, Chris begins to get robbed every time he passes a certain place because he goes to a different school, suddenly he recieves help from a kid named Fat Mike, who asks his permission to get make Chris to lend his bike to him but later finds out he has stole it, until the end of the episode he finds out he was just keeping it for him. Meanwhile, Julius begins to take care of the household duties and that causes Rochelle jealous. It was a really great episode! It was funny, and this is one of the reasons why I love this show...moreless
  • A very fun comedy about comedian Chris Rock's family, neighborhood, and childhood.

    8.8
This is the first episode I caught of the series. Not exactly the best, but surely interesting enough to make me watch regularly! In this episode, Chris' dad will just be at home because there's a strike going on. The fun part is seeing Chris' mom's reaction towards the attention her husband's getting from the kids because of all the cleaning and cooking he does at home. The weird human tendency to want something he/she never wanted to before just because its taken from you is explored here! Chris befriends a kid named "Fat Mike" too.moreless
  • Bike and Strike

    9.6
Yet another comedic instalment in the life of the young Chris Rock, this one having two equally well written and hilarious plots – the strike and the bike – hey, that rhymes (I know, whoop-de-doo).

Anyway, the plot of Chris three month old bike being assumed stolen since Chris “friend” Big Mike rode it past the agreed corner and never brought it back was very funny, especially the ending with Big Mike’s explanation that made no sense whatsoever. The thieves on the doorstep were also a very good part of the plot with the “can I hold your dollar” routine.

Julius being out of work and doing Rochelle’s housekeeping better than she did was quite entertaining, leading up to the end with a similar scene to the previous episode where Rochelle quits since her man has two jobs. The messing up of the house was also a brilliant scene along with the “lighting Chris on fire” exception.

Overall, this is why the series is so intriguing and is a great instalment.

  • Chris is about to get mugged and is saved by Fat Mike. Meanwhile, Julius' job is on strike so he's stuck home doing Rochelle's work at home.

This is definately one of my favorite episodes! The whole, "do you know that guy" and Chris or Fat Mike saying no and then they would get someone else to mug. Or how he imagined what his Mom would do if she found out that the bike was stolen and he would be smacked into next week and return on Tuesday. That was one of the better parts of the episode. And the other part where they would tell you viewers discretion is advised and Rochelle is yelling at Julius and there are some people crowding around the house and then it says 1 hour later and it seems like the whole block is there outside reacting to the yelling. I could not stop laughing!moreless
  • Awesome

    9.5
This episode (IMO) is the best in the series so far. It takes everything that the show is about (black jokes, family, etc..) and uses them all to it's advantage. The scenes with the guys on the curb are hilarious and the character of Fat Mike is the best character they've brought into the show so far. The battle between Chris' mom and dad continues and it doesn't hold up for the whole episode. Great viewing.moreless
