Well, Everybody Hates Chris uses another 80's storyline (actually they did it on The Brady Bunch in the 70's) where Chris pretends to be smart and ends up losing on a team competition.

There were some funny moments, but the show tried too hard to feature cutaway scenes. The problem is that they work on Family Guy and The Simpsons because people expect unrealistic events on animated programs. They do not work on live action shows because people expect reality, not Rochelle going into space, or the government putting a gun at Julius' face for parking tickets.

But overall this was an acceptable installment.moreless
