Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • A good episode

In this episode Julius gets the gout and starts watching a soap called the young and the restless. Then we learn that Chris use Martin luter King in his English and history reports but it won't help him in math class and then Chris mets a guy that can change the grade. I know how to do that to but I never use it. Then Chris gets busted and but before that Chris' mom Rochelle trs to make and feel bad and then Chris works harder in math and gets a D then something happens and then everybody hates Chrismoreless
  • Very believable story (for the most part)

I can relate to this episode because I too once forged a report card (for maths aswell), though it wasn't quite as high tech or clever as Chris' plan, and I actually got away with it (until two months later when I forgot all about it and my teacher apparently brought it up at a Parent-Teacher conference) and I wasn't as guilty as Chris felt.

This episode is hilarious and a true reason as to why Chris is such an original show with both subtle and obvious humour being equally entertaining.

While Julius' story seemed a little out of character, it too was fantastically written and this is one of the funniest episodes yet.moreless
  • excellent episode, hilarious

ive never tried to fake a report card and i dont think i ever will after watching this. Hilarious results. I loved the young and the restless thing too, especially how they took it to the ad break (hahaha) i really enjoyed this one because i can relate it to real life because i know a person who tried to fake a report (it didnt end as funny as this =P) This was definately one of the better episodes off the series, even though im still not too sure what 'the gout' is, i still really liked it. Worth watching for sure =)moreless
  • Julius gets the gout and discovers he has a passion for "The Young and the Restless"; Chris fakes his report card after failing math.

Rochelle's "I don't wanna talk about the gout!" is sooo funny. I love how Julius gets the gout from eating such unhealthy foods as smothered pork chops and smothered chicken fried bacon... not to mention smothered chicken fried bananas, all at which Julius says, "Needs salt." Then he has to stay home and watch "The Young and the Restless" because of his gout and stay away from junk food. Also, Chris gets an F in math and decides to have his report card forged so that he can show it to his parents and they'll think he got an A.moreless

While Chris's mother wants to catch Chris revealing he got an F in math, Julius must stay at home watching the Young and the Restless, when Chris's mother gets jealous, and begin to get into a fight. When both of them discovered Chris cheating on them, they finally get a topic to talk about, and they get closed again. While Chris must go with a strange guy to help him faked the signature of his mother.moreless

    • Julius: My foot's lookin' better, don't you think?
Rochelle: Why are you talking about your foot? Your son has no conscience. In there eatin' pancakes like he actually got an A.
Julius: If you didn't want him to have pancakes, what you give 'em to him for?
Rochelle: For him to feel guilty and confess. But that's OK. Tomorrow I got something for him.
Julius: Baby, let's talk about this. C'mon.
Rochelle: Oh, so now you wanna talk to me? Why don't you just talk to your friends since you talk to them all the time?
Julius: Rochelle, those are your friends! We were just talkin' about the soaps! Aren't you jealous?
Rochelle: Hell yeah! Damn skippy! How would you feel if you came home and I was sittin' there talkin' to a bunch of your friends about football?
      Julius: You like football?
Rochelle: No, I don't like football! Julius, you always wanna talk to me about bills or the kids. I just think it would be nice to talk about something else, for a change.
Julius: You wanna talk about the gout?
Rochelle: NO! I don't wanna talk about the gout!

    • Greg: You're definitely not in there.
Tonya: Bye, Chris. Don't tell any lies when you get to heaven.
Drew: Hey Chris, can I have your comic books?
      Julius: That's a $2 pair underwear you're messin' in.

    • Rochelle: Chris, if you'll lie, you'll steal, and if you'll steal, you'll kill, and I ain't getting your behind out of jail.

    • Chris: It didn't take much to graduate from my old school. All you needed was a ride to the graduation.

    • Chris: Oh no.
      Greg: What?
      Chris: I got an F!
Greg: Aw man, that's rough. What's your mom gonna say?
Chris: I don't know, but it ain't gonna be free at last.

    • Chris: (narrating) I could usually get a good grade just by talking about Dr. Martin Luther King.
      : (narrating) In English class...
Chris: My book report is on Dr. Martin Luther King.
      Chris: (narrating) In history...
Chris: My history report is on the Birmingham Bus Boycott led by Dr. Martin Luther King.
Chris: (narrating) The only place Martin Luther King didn't work, was math.

    • Rochelle: Don't come home stupid.
      Kids: We won't!

  • NOTES (1)
