  • My Favorite episode of Raymond

This episode is hilarious! I was never very fond of the kdis in Everybody Loves Raymond but they were pretty funny in this one. And Frank was absolutely hilarious in this one. For anyone that's seen it...you know what part I'm talking about...'I thought they were chocolate coins!' lol funniest Raymond ever. Frank is also dressed up as Frankenstein's monster in this one which is kind of an inside-joke because he played the monster in Young Frankenstein, one of the funniest movies ever. Anyway, this episode is a must-see for any Raymond fan. Pick up the 3rd season DVD. You won't regret it.moreless
  • Mommy, what kind of candy is this?

    10
One of the best of the series. Frank gives out candy at Ray and Debra's house, but messes up when he runs out of candy. So, he finds some colorful wrapped things and assume it is candy. Little does he know, they were specifically for Ray and Debra {ask your parents}.

This is one of the more "teen/adult" episodes of Raymond, due to the sexual nature. It of course isn't too bad, but only teens/adults will get it. Those younger viewers will not get the kind of humor this episode has. If you are old enough this is a hilarious episodemoreless
  • Frank hands out candy at his son's house when Ray and Debra take the kids treat-or-treating. When he runs out of candy, Frank mistakes condoms in bright wrappers for chocolate coins and hands them out to kids. Mayhem ensues!moreless

    9.5
I love this episode, and now am forced to buy the Season DVD since I'm wearing out my DVR-recorded version. Everything is right about this episode: the banter, the give-and-take among the ensemble cast, the writing, the actors, and the plot is a scream. It all starts out when Ray and Debra have some birth control "issues." She favors a vasectomy, but Ray chickens out and, instead, buys a big package of condoms in brightly colored wrappers. It's Hallowe'en, and Debra and Ray are off to take the kids out to treat-or-treat in the neighbor. Frank, dressed as Frankenstein, comes over to hand out candy while they're gone. Mary, as The Bride of Frankenstein, is holding down the fort at her house. Frank starts munching the candy for the treat-or-treaters and runs out. Searching some kitchen cupboards, he comes upon the condoms, which he thinks are chocolate coins, and starts handing out two dozen. Ray and Deb are horrified when they return, without kids (who are staying overnight with Frank and Marie), to find that there are no more condoms. To make matters worse, parents start calling to complain. Ray tracks down a kid dressed as Dracula to buy back a condom, which, at the "moment of truth," as it were, turns out to be a chocolate coin. Deb pops it in her mouth, smiling, and says, tiredly, "Trick or Treat!" The actors all looked like they were having fun, and the audience sounded like it, too. I watch this on occcasion when I'm in a funk, because it's laugh-out-loud funny. Not to be missed!moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Ray: (comes back with one of the condoms) I got it. I had to go through fifteen Draculas until I found the right one and then I bought it off him.
Debra: Did he know what he had?
Ray: No. But I didn't want to look suspicious so I also bought a popcorn ball, a marshmallow ghost, and a box of raisins.

    • Ray: You don't go into someone's house and take their things and give them out, you maniac!
Frank: It's Halloween. You have to give the people what they want.

    • Debra: (when she and Ray are out of condoms) You know, there's another solution to this.
      Ray: What?
Debra: Well, we discussed this—a little snip-snip.
Ray: Hey! Watch that kind of talk! He can hear you! (looks down) Don't listen to the crazy lady. No snip-snip. No snip-snip.
Debra: Why don't you tell your "partner" that it might be in his best interest to take over this little responsibility. He might get out more often.

    • Frank: Sorry, Frankenstein's house of tooth decay is closed.
