Episode Summary

When Marie surprises the family with the news that she's treating them all to a two-week vacation in Rome, everybody loves the idea, except Raymond. Not willing to let his sour mood spoil it for the rest of the family, Debra, Frank, Marie, Robert and the kids go on their merry way and soak up the atmosphere, sights, smells and tastes of the city of love and try their best to ignore Ray. Meanwhile, Robert meets the girl of his dreams—she's stunningly beautiful, unbelievably sexy, and works in a gelato shop.moreless

    "Great"
First of all. I am a big fan of this show and i have seen almost every episode, (australia is reruning raymond episodes at prime time)

but this was the first time i saw ITALY (1).

everyone has given this Ep. 7.7/10.

    But i really liked it.

    because it was different.

    1. No one was yelling. the main cast i mean.

    2. there wasn't much talk, just looking at images and hering old italy music.

    3. it wasn't very funny, but it was very touching....touching enough to make frank cry in this episode.

    4. i liked the part where robert first layed eyes on Stefania. robert really should have married her !

5.the family really showed that they do love each other.

This Episode was different but good.

    i can't wait for part 2 tomorrow.

    8/10.

    • When Robert is eating his peach gelato for the first time, he does not touch it to his chin. Obviously, it's not very smart to touch ice cream to your chin, but it's still very strange to see, because Robert never goes without this little habit. Edit

    • Debra: In the past, your dumbness has gotten in the way of just like a couple of things that I've wanted to do: the book club, theater, having conversations. But I'm just gonna say this once and then we can stop talking about it. You're not blowing this for me, pal! Edit
    • Ray: Great! Robert gets the gelato girl and I get hosed down by Mrs. Mussolini. Edit
  • Allusions

Using his charisma, he took total control of the media and disassembled the existing democratic government system.
