Episode Summary

When Marie surprises the family with the news that she's treating them all to a two-week vacation in Rome, everybody loves the idea, except Raymond. Not willing to let his sour mood spoil it for the rest of the family, Debra, Frank, Marie, Robert and the kids go on their merry way and soak up the atmosphere, sights, smells and tastes of the city of love and try their best to ignore Ray. Meanwhile, Robert meets the girl of his dreams—she's stunningly beautiful, unbelievably sexy, and works in a gelato shop.moreless

"Italy (2)" is the concluding episode of the family's trip to Italy and lacks the punch of a usual "Everybody Loves Raymond" episode.

While the Italian trip will be pivotal in character development for future story lines, each shows alone is a bit slow. Two part episodes as a rule are frustrating to viewers. Thus there is a special need to make these two parters especially entertaining. "Italy (2)" fails in this regard. The stars are excellent as usual, but the script falls short.

Still, "Everybody Loves Raymond" is so far beyond most of the current television fare, that Italy Part II is still worth one's time. It will entertain. this jokes are still there.

If you are not on of those who find, the words "To Be Continued" frustrating, catch it. This episode will be valuable background for future episodes.moreless

    Just watched it.

    Not much happened.

    1. Other than ray getting over his illness, and then understanding what a wonderfull place italy is.

    not much happened.

    2. The only funny part in this episode was when Robert was talking to Stefania's father.. it looked like robert was reinacting a scene from "The Godfather"... but this time, it didn't go so well.

this was not as good as ITALY Part 1.

come to think of it...ITALY Part 1 & 2 was like i was watching a different show....

anyway, i give this episode 7/10.
