On this episode, Frank catches a school record football that was kicked 68 eight yards by rob fernandez. Frank is the biggest crack-up on this show and gave one of his best performances on this episode. Robert is in carge of backing up franks story because he was the only one who saw it happen. The best part of this episode falls between frank on the radio and the family trying to get it back to Hofstra. Frank is being talked about all over the place and the family (ray) is suffering from being his son and working on the sports collum. This episode is the bomb!moreless

  • "One of my favourite episodes, frank stealing a record holding football and wanting to sell it for $1000, the episode was a classic!!!"

    "contains spolier"

In this episode the kicker, Raymond is asked to go on a football trip with his dad: Frank, but since the game involves the two worst team in college football and frank. Raymond tricks Robert into going to the game with Frank. After the game, Frank and Robert visits Raymonds house to annouce that Frank caught a record holding ball and is holding it for ransom. The whole comedy with this situation is a classic and obviously Raymond and the other people in the family wants Frank to return it, so they come up with various plans to obtain it from Frank. In this episode, there were also many funny moments when Raymonds reputation was damaged on the media and with Robert breaking the window. overall a instant classic.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Debra says she used to read Ray's column a lot when they were dating, even though in "The Wedding (1)", Ray used his very first column to ask Debra to marry him.

    • Robert says that he used to have a slight bed-wetting problem, but in an earlier episode we find out that Ray would actually dump water in Robert's bed while he was sleeping to make it look like he wet his bed.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Guy on the radio: (About Frank) You should have seen this guy. Bulldozes a kid trying to get the ball, then he high tails it out of there with some big goon.
Robert: Hey, he was my ride!

    • Robert: I'm sorry, Deb. I thought Ray was cutting back towards the window.
      Debra: A closed window?
Robert: Well, I couldn't tell it was closed because the glass is so clean.
Marie: Okay, nobody believes you anymore, Robbie.

    • Frank: I caught that ball fair and square, and anybody who doesn't like it can kiss me between the back pockets!

    • Guy on the Radio: (about Ray) Ah, that explains it! I hate that Ray Barone guy. He thinks he's so funny. He blows!
      Ray: Hey!
Robert: Man, I should be taping this!

    • Ray: Was even going to publish an article about what you did, but I didn't because some people thought it would ruin our family harmony.
      Frank: Family harmony?
      Ray: Yeah, I know.

    • Guy on the Radio: I think this Frank deserves to be kicked 68 yards.
Marie: Finally, a voice of reason.

    • Guy on the Radio: (about Frank) He's a jackass.
Debra: (gasps) They are talking about him!

    • Debra: Frank, that ball is a record for the school. You know it's not right to keep it, don't you?
Robert: Don't bother, Deb. His soul was removed to make room for more stomach.

    • Frank: You should've heard the crowd chanting for me.
Robert: 'Give it back, jerk. Give it back, jerk.'
      Frank: And booing!
