In this episode, we first see the hammock Robert bought for Marie in The Christmas Picture.
If they knew that Pat talked intimately to everyone, why did Peter and Hank get so upset?
Again, Ray says that Debra used to read his column a lot when they were dating, but Ray's first column is where he proposes to Debra. She must've meant while they were engaged and still dating.
Pat: (about the puzzle) Here you go, Ray, I think this goes to the snake that's crawling on that poor young lady's bottom.
Ray: (to Pat) But you don't talk like that to just anyone.
Amy: She kinda does.
Frank: I didn't know you needed people to talk to. Any time you need support, I'm here for you, dumb-ass!
Pat: You have such an exciting job. You get to meet all sorts of people and visit exotic places.
Ray: You mean like Tampa?
Pat: You've been to Tampa???
Ray: I didn't want to bother you.
Debra: Bother me? I'm your wife! I mean, I would think if you had big news like you were writing a book, you would tell me first, not some other woman!
Ray: First of all, she's not some other woman--she's Mrs. McDougall. And secondly, she doesn't just read my column--she WALKS to the library, sometimes in a foot of snow!
Peter: (flipping out of the hammock) What?!
This is a reference to an episode of Three's Company, in which John Ritter's character, Jack Tripper, flips out of a hammock onto the ground.
